Sounds like a neatly perfect day, lacking only a convertible to drive, and a fun companion.
It was even warm enough to shed the clothes ... if there had been the right spot.
What is the saying? It is better to travel, than arrive! Some sayings are plain daft!!
To be fair, since I don't reach climax easily, I am all about the journey! 😎
I love strolling through parks with few or no people
I may have been lucky enough to hit the lull between picnic meals
It's good you're enjoying
Always!
Those days are the best, when several things happen to align. just right.
Hiking is calling my name as well, I will do that soon!
Except for that foolish trudge up that steep and slippery hill, I don't call what I do "hiking". But grab your camera and get outside ... and show us on your blog what you found.
Road signs can be so confusing!!
Love the park, but I think we need more pics of the bridges!!
There were only 5 and they looked a lot alike to me. Mostly Pratt truss.
@superbjversion2
Mr Pratt was a genius, years ahead of his time. His trusses are used to this day.
Sounds like you had a magical albeit anticlimactic day!
Fortunately, the anticlimactic cloud was on the drive to the park. It was uphill from there.
Fish on
Not sure what that means but at least it's polite. (I hope)
I did a fun little whirlwind road trip yesterday myself. And weather was similar to yours...Warm sunshine with nice breeze.
Hooray! See how fun a little day trip can be. Beautiful flowers.
They always do!! The signs I mean!!!
Been past that sign, haven't you.
@superbjversion2 If its on 94, 275, 675, or Gratiot, then yes!! I rode 94 All the way up to Port Huron, so I may have!!!
@dafocker44 it's on eastbound 94
@superbjversion2 Over near Kalamazoo!! I had to look it up because I probably went past it on the way to and from the In-Laws!!
This bridge was built in 1886. The hill I climbed is behind it.
@69ereatwetpussy No they don't and this park had 5 of them.
@69ereatwetpussy They've been restored but with varying amounts of work needed. I walked over all 5.
I did not see any trolls!
Lovely bit of bridgery!!
@lindoboy100 Not at your level of bridge porn, of course.
