The fire is in there, it's just a matter of putting it forth for others to see. Similar to other forms of expression.
I've been given a challenge or two since writing this post and that seems to have been the kick in the butt that I needed.
Your analogy of druids needing to sleep to restore their magic is a wonderful perspective. Sometimes, a little rest and reflection are all we need to reignite our creative spark.
Old bloggers never dieโthey just take a well-deserved nap before their next great post. ๐
I've been feeling some sputters ... like a gas-powered lawn mower that just won't turn over.
Yeah. I understand where you're coming from.
The Druids were an interesting group. I'm not sure how much they knew about blogging, but they gained their power by being at one with nature. Go for a walk and talk to a tree. ๐ค๐
Walkways are slippery right now but I'll try talking more to my house plants.
Talking with them โ sounds like a plan. ๐ค
I know people who'll smoke them. ๐ฒ
I certainly feel the faded away part myself! Has it ALL been said now? Nothing new to remark on? How can that be!!
But always nice to get a "check-in" from you. Come to think of it, "checking-in (as in to a motel) WITH you" would be even better, but we both know how that might go. ๐
I have not learned to spank any harder than before.
@superbjversion2 That was just for a HNW photo. I was thinking more how I'd greet you, but I guess the thrill is gone. ๐
@CleavageFan4U I can't help but picture us checking into a motel and you wearing your 'greeting' outfit in the lobby! ๐คฃ
@superbjversion2 That scenrio was checking in the next day, a bit to your chagrin as I recall - no easing into it!
I like your posts. We all need breaks.
Thank you. I've been surprised by some of the people that have reached out to make sure I was okay ... and hoping I'd post more.
Right there with ya... I just don't feel like sharing as much as before. Carries over to all my social media tho, I haven't posted much anywhere as of late. Probably hunkering down for the next four years.
What's magic about 4 years from now?
@CleavageFan4U the moron whisperer will no longer be in office.
@TicklePlease Oooohhhh, I thought you meant something much more personal.
I stopped posting stuff on that face place well before getting bored here.
@superbjversion2 same... I get tagged occasionally but I just don't feel the need to share as much any more!
I go through phases too. I hope your blogging mojo returns as you pen a great blog.
I probably need a challenge, of some sort. Virtual symposium style.
@superbjversion2 I'd relaunch the virtual symposium group, with a different name, because it's very clear nothing is or will happen on that front.
You need a rest. It's all good. Hugs!!
I think I need a kick in the creative butt!
Sometimes, you just don't want to sit in front of a keyboard.
That could be it, in a nutshell. I'll get an idea, sit down and just go, "Naw."
With the fact I've been an inactive hot wife the last 15 months or so, my writing has been sparse at best. Fading away would be giving it too much credit. But your new years post made it seem like maybe you're just too busy out living your best life to take the time to write about it and I think that's wonderful. I should take a page from your instruction manual.
My life is fairly smooth right now. Active but calm. Doesn't make for very interesting writing, on a day-to-day basis.
The sun will come out again, the clouds will disappear for a bit anyway, it'll warm a up, and you'll find your muse again.
So...? Like a blogging renaissance?
It comes and goes for me. ๐คทโโ๏ธ You know we always enjoy your posts when you are in the mood.
Thanks, Smarty.
