Don't think my vote would be informed as only have eaten the basic type sold at Super Wal Mart. Like mushrooms.
I've found most supermarkets don't offer much of a choice of mushrooms.
@spunkycumfun yeah only one type so that's what use so nothing to compare
@bignicktx I can well see where you're coming from.
I don't like mushrooms, so I'm not voting.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who doesn't like mushrooms 😂
The more people who don't like mushrooms, the more mushrooms for me!

Another great battle here my friend I didn't choose
any of these today as I am not a fan of mushrooms.
There is only one way I will eat mushrooms and if
they are on our favorite pizza. I don't know what
kind they use but you really can't taste them because
of all the other toppings.
I hope your Friday is a great start to a wonderful
weekend..
I love mushrooms on top of a pizza too.
It seems there's quite a few people who don't like mushrooms.
When I was young, I thought mushrooms were gross since they are considered fungi. As an adult, I changed my opinion after trying sautéed mushrooms as a side dish with steak. I enjoy a mushroom and cheese omelette, as well as adding raw, chopped mushrooms to spinach salad. Not into hallucinogens so have not and will not try magic mushrooms.
Sautéed mushrooms are perfect with a good steak.
As I now have a small legal canna garden, my intent next year is to set up a 3 x 3 grow tent for mushrooms (oyster and white button, maybe some medical) and have the exhaust go straight into my flower tent. Mushrooms dish out CO2, which the plants feed on and convert back to oxygen. All organic, and a big win/win - in fact, you can use the straw casing of the oyster mushrooms (barley hay) as mulch in the canna tents!
I hope your mushroom-growing venture proves successful.
Thanks for stopping by.
I don't like mushrooms. Sorry hon.
It seems quite a lot of people here don't like mushrooms.

Ophiocordyceps unilateralis
The zombie-ant fungus. I had to look that up!
So many mushrooms on the list I've never had access to... But then, again, there are a bunch that are easily available here that aren't on the list, LOL! If you're ever at a good Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant, try the wood ear mushroom appetizer. Lovely, slightly crunchy and springy, with goji berries and a hint of black vinegar... (see the Din Tai Fung menu).
I'll definitely try out the wood ear mushroom when I come across it. It's got an interesting name, presumably it looks like an ear.
@spunkycumfun They're kinda dark brown to black and wavy, and very velvety on one side. A few look like wavy, dark ears, but not that much. They are thin and have a crunchy texture. You can buy them dried and rehydrate them, or get them fresh via Chinese markets. They're very different from button mushrooms, Shitake, and other, meatier mushrooms. The salad/appetizer dishes are usually cold, tangy, and refreshing.
From Din Tai Fung's website:
"Our nutrition-packed wood ear mushrooms are soaked in our special vinegar dressing until tender and juicy, then topped with goji berries and finely shredded ginger. Fragrant sesame oil and a splash of lemon juice bring sweet, tangy flavor."
@CuriousHer Thanks for the information. I want to eat a wood ear mushroom now!
I really only eat mushrooms that have been sauteed or grilled, and over steak.
You know that old saying about some jobs - "They treat us like mushrooms. They keep us in the dark and feed us shit." I grew up not too far from the self-proclaimed Mushroom Capital of the world. OMG did that town stink!
Where is the world's mushroom capital?
@spunkycumfun from Wikipedia: Kennett Square is a borough in Chester County, Pennsylvania. It is located in the Delaware Valley and considered a suburb of both Philadelphia, the US's sixth largest city as of 2020, and Wilmington, Delaware.
The borough is sometimes referred to as the "Mushroom Capital of the World" because mushroom farming in the region produces over 500 million pounds of mushrooms a year, representing half of the nation's mushroom crop production. To celebrate this heritage, Kennett Square holds an annual Mushroom Festival, where the town and its businesses hold a parade, mushroom farm tours, and sells food and other goods.
