In THE BATTLE OF CHRISTMAS FOODS, roast turkey comfortably and not surprisingly won, with roast beef coming second in the poll.
It's now the turn of cocktails to do battle! A cocktail is a mixed drink, usually an alcoholic mixed drink. However, this poll excludes excludes non-alcoholic cocktails, so-called mocktails. It also excludes mixed drinks that use water, whether mineral, soda or tonic water, so there's no gin and tonic nor Scotch and soda.
Also, the poll is excluding cocktails served hot, so there's no Hot Buttered Rum, hot toddy, Irish coffee nor mulled wine.
Finally, I'm excluding beer cocktails, so there's no Black and Tan, Black Velvet, shandy nor Snakebite.
Though there are many cocktails I've not tried, my favourite cocktails are a B-52, Bloody Mary, Eggnog (especially at Xmas time), Mojito (only served with mint leaves and ice), Pimm's (only in the summer), Rusty Nail, Sangria and Snowball (I love advocaat), with a Singapore Sling being my cocktail of choice - see photo below. A Singapore Sling contains gin, Cherry Heering, Cointreau, Benedictine and pineapple juice.
There aren't many cocktails I don't like that I've tried, but my least favourite cocktails are a Cuba Libre, Dry Martini (even if shaken, not stirred like James Bond has his), Harvey Wallbanger, Margarita, Sex on the Beach, Tequila Sunrise and Whiskey Sour, with a Long Island Iced Tea being my worst cocktail.

Though I haven't been to a cocktail bar since I moved well over a year ago - there's no cocktail bar where I live, I used to regularly frequent cocktail bars. I find them quite sexy places, a bit like libraries. My favourite cocktail bar is the cocktail bar at The Savoy, a posh hotel in central London; my parents took me there once to celebrate after my PhD graduation - I took my gown off before quaffing a few cocktails!

Ever since a buddy of mine got divorced and started living on his own, he got into making cocktails and sends me pics of cocktails he learned how to make. He seems to be partial to Negroni, but makes a pitcher of margaritas to take to the beach with him. His margaritas are potent! 😂
My go-to cocktail when I go to TGI Friday's is mudslide. I'm also partial to Bailey's in hot coffee 😁

Good battle of ,voted Margarita. Love a good strawberry daiquiri or margaritas. Pina Colidas not bad if like walks in the rain. For New Years will be drinking Mimosa. Like rum, Whiskey and bourbon and coke. Favorite whiskey Fireball a Canadian Cinnamon flavored 🍁 Whiskey. Favorite two vodkas Polish 🇵🇱 Bison Grass and Ukranian 🇺🇦 honey pepper Vodka. For both put in tall huge glass about two thirds
Apple juice and one third lemon lime drink. Khula A Mexican coffee liqueur goes with milk and chocolate syrup and add some ice cream. Have used lot of Brandeis to can peaches and mariate food, also great with orange juice, as is Vodka and champagne 🥂. Have a like also for Pecan Praline Whiskey and Cream Liquor drink straight and good to marinate and seer steak in. Also use Balentines and Baileys can add to Khula drinks or use as replacement or drink straight up. Desire to add to drinking list Ponchatoula Strawberry 🍓 Whiskey. A glass of wine with dinner and use in cooking rice and potato dishes. Loved when in Asia cut open coconut 🥥 fill with tropical punch plus two or three alcohols. In college Couple of Mexican food places had margaritas deals. Sunday night two for 1 so was a good date night. Of course at college use to get 3000 people drunk from trash can punch with ever clear and tequila. Nothing wrong with a good tequila shot on occasion. Singapore slings delicious especially at the Long Bar in Singapore White Ukranies grovy just sbstitute Ukranian for Russian crap.. When Son Z comes of age will treat to my Ukranian Vodka drink . I voted Spritz, because everything i drink has a bit of seltzer in . For soda i mix 100 %juice with a spritz I like the fizz. . I only drink wine or tequila sometimes mixed with seltzer, most times straight with limes/lemons ( even in my vino )

I don't and never have. I suppose Earthquake McGoon's in Phoenix is the closest I've come but I think it's just a tavern.
I voted for an Old Fashioned but as I am from Wisconsin it would be a Brandy Old Fashioned. At one time it was the most popular cocktail in my state and if you ordered one in any other state they would figure you were from Wisconsin. I will on occasion make up a Vodka Gimlet. Gin is a spirit I cannot abide.

Before I gave up all soda my favorite was a 7&7 but my drinks changed depending on season and holiday. Next one should be your favorite alcohol! NIce poll..
