In THE BATTLE OF THE BEANS, green beans won, with black beans, chickpeas, great northern beans, navy beans and soybeans faring quite well in the poll.
After one day of submitting the poll, and without even editing the poll, about 40 votes disappeared. I'm aware that a few people re-voted and, if not, it's not too late to re-vote. Before the votes disappeared, green beans were in the lead and, after the votes disappeared, green beans are winning. Also, green beans had the most citations in the comments to the poll. As a result of this triangulation, I am very confident that green beans are the fair and worthy winners of the battle of the beans.
It's now the turn of the melons to do battle! It wasn't easy coming up with categories for melons. Some melons are botanically defined, other melons are named after the place they're grown, and a few melons are called after what they look like. Also, there are a lot of hybrid varieties of melon. Asian countries seem to like their melons!
However, I'm excluding savoury melons - eg bitter melon (aka pare), cucamelon (aka mouse melon), gac melon, winter melon (aka ash gourd) - from the poll. I'm also excluding melons, such as the charentais melon, that are primarily used for fragrance rather than eating. And women's breasts don't feature either!
My favourite melons are cantaloupe melon, Galia melon and watermelon, but my most favourite is the honeydew melon - see photo below. I like making a melon boat from a honeydew melon with either sugar or ginger powder sprinkled and an obligatory glacé cherry on a cocktail stick added as the mast for my melon boat - see photo below. Also, I like eating a medley of melon balls in a sundae dish.
I haven't tried some melons; I would love to try a Santa Claus melon. But so far there's no melon I've eaten which I haven't liked. In my book, there are just good melons and even better melons!

I like watermelon but I like honey dew melons better.
In Japan, they have shaped watermelons that are for decorative purposes only and sell for over a hundred bucks a pop. Apparently, they last for about a year if kept in a cool, dry place. They're fun to look at but aren't edible, tho.
The melon is a highest grade crown melon at eight hundred a pop.

According to Mibelayze there at least 3 of us who don't care for.
@spunkycumfun I liked growing watermelon 🍉 they flourish in our soil. .y parents .ight eat one a week. Would chop others up with a machete then feed to the 🐄 cows. As previously commented don't want to eat the animals food. There is a watermelon festival in my county.

Yellow Watermelon
@spunkycumfun There are yellow and orange watermelon, and also seedless. For me watermelon, honeydew, and muskmelon, are my favorites.

I love cantaloupe, muskmelon and honeydew. I don't bitter melon at all, even the smell of it.

A generous scoop of home made ice cream inside the bowl of the melon is delicious!
Yup....watermelon ...cantaloupe .....n honey dew are my faves, though im not familiar with a few on your list.
Least fave....unsure.
I eat them....sliced...chunked....in salad...in juices...frozen as a hot day treat...or as an ice cube flavor enhancer and in smoothies .
