Feeling lazy today, as I often do, so here are some re-posts.
And a bonus HWD pic that I found in the archives!
HWD has been under the weather the past couple of days so we've been keeping our distance. He is normally quite an affectionate guy - always a hello and goodbye kiss, snuggles up next to me on the couch when we're watching TV, falls asleep with his head on my shoulder (I always stay awake longer than him, reading). So I've been missing that, but I'll survive.
I'm having my four besties over tomorrow so today's task is to clean up and figure out a "ladies luncheon". I'm thinking curried chicken salad, croissants - not sure what to do for a side and a sweet afterwards.

It's a long and evolving illness. Started with sore throat at the beginning of the week, then a cough, and now he's blowing his nose. 🫤

It’s good to hear about the affectionate bond with HWD, and I hope he feels better soon.
Your luncheon plan sounds delightful. For sides, maybe a fresh green salad or a fruit salad would complement the curried chicken salad nicely. As for something sweet, perhaps mini lemon tarts or a classic cheesecake would hit the spot.

I decided on some simple finger foods - red pepper strips and carrots; grapes and strawberries. We'll have mango sorbet for dessert, with ginger shortbread cookies.

Maybe a side of pasta salad or rice. Fresh fruit or cookies. I love nibbly meals.
I decided on fresh fruit and some crudités. But one of my friends said she was bringing salami and cheese so there will be a less healthy option too. 😁
Great pictues! I think they prove that sometimes color can lessen rather than add. Going black and white in the first picture accents the lines and pattern of the sweater as well as the fine curve of you cleavage. Color would have distracted from the pattern of your top in the second picture and would have diminished the fine sensual shape you show in that pose.
Sorry to hear HWD has not been feeling well of late. I am sure the two of you putting your normal affectionate contacts on hold for the last bit has made you much more aware of how valued they are.

Thank you! He did go to work today so I think he's on the mend (either that or he was worried about chaos in his classroom if he was gone for more than one day).
