I've never been to NYC, so I'm no help. Meanwhile, I'm heading to Scotland in June.
I'm going to Scotland in August...managing the itinerary yourself or taking a tour or a little of both? I'm going with a local group; they've planned the itinerary, which is helpful for me since I'm no good at that.
@MyNameIsKay I'm going in June. It's a family group ... about 10 of us. My nephew is treating and we have a private tour but I've been able to tweak the itinerary.
@superbjversion2 @MyNameIsKay I'll be looking forward to hearing about both your trips. I know FMAOpls (rest her soul) really enjoyed her visit there. I've never been...
@smartasswoman I've never been out of the country except to Tijuana when I was like 9.
@MyNameIsKay Hope you have a great time!
@Whatsmattau2 Look what the cat dragged in...awfully good to see you. And thanks.
@Whatsmattau2 I remember you!
@superbjversion2 Ty. I went into hiding for a while. Am kinda just hanging around now, seeing what's up
Good to see you also!
Thanks for that video! I watched it twice. Picked up some good lines!
Their delivery is so great too. Hey baybeee!!
@staci_19702 It was a toss-up between the health insurance one and Is that bulge real fir me
LOVE NYC, haven't been since 2018 though.
And of course there are all the usual things to see and do.
Lucky you, I can't wait to go back! Maybe this summer . . .
ps - hope I'm not stating the obvious . . .
Not all of those were obvious! (and even the obvious ones are helpful...because I can't cover ALL of the obvious choices in three days).
Loved the video.....!
I heard McSorley's Ale House is cool place to check out in Manhattan.
Thanks!
LOL I'm more of a 'Nice ass' or 'Can I hold something for you?' kind of girl, LOL.
Not a clue about Manhattan. Sorry.
Iβm sure those cat calls would be appreciated more!
Daughter is going to NYC for a long weekend at spring break. I looked at stuff to do the other day. The City Pass is always handy if you want to do the touristy things. But just walking all around the various areas is pretty cool too.
I'm often more in the mood to just walk around and look at stuff than do formal "sightseeing". I will look up that City Pass though!
I saw that video recently and cracked up... also at the guy who gives smart compliments (you look like you pay off your credit card every month)
I'm going to guess you're not a fan of oysters... but if you were, I'd suggest Crave oyster bar.
You guessed right! π
I'll have to try to find that other video (says the lady who pays off her credit cards every month).
Was it Troy Hawke by chance? I love that guy.
@smartasswoman YES! That's the guy. I didn't know his name until I looked him up.
@TicklePlease I love him wandering around in his purple smoking jacket! He's carved out a great comedy niche for himself.
Perfect
Does the beard match the carpet ππππ. Thanks for that
I did laugh at that one and shared it with HWD, since he has a big beard.
DAMN, how did you get this video of my day-to-day existence? π
Safe travels. I've spent most the weekend booking hotels for my upcoming road trip. One place wanted $50/night - FOR PARKING! Guess I'm not enough of a city kid to abide by that.
@NightBloom95 Good point. But mine is specifically a half continent road trip.
You do look like you have good health insurance.
I always balk at hotels with big parking fees, too. I do remember one trip to Chicago where I ended up paying $25/day for a couple of nights, but that was at least fifteen years ago.
Buzzfeed vids are so funny π
I usually stay at cheap accommodations whenever I travel somewhere. I just need a clean place with a comfortable bed to stay and spend money on good food and maybe to pick something nice up for myself.
Sometimes I'm willing to splurge a bit on a nice place to stay, but I just couldn't swallow the prices for NYC.
Ive honestly never seen a man catcall a women. I know its about the reverse, the video, but why are women obssesed with nonsense like that. I'm not sure too many men want babies with most women today. New York sucks but its a classic modern woman city so you'll probably like it: loud, over-populated, plenty of crime and the worst kind of diversity.
Here are some activities you might enjoy in Midtown Manhattan:
Broadway Shows: Catch a Broadway show. There's always something spectacular playing.
Bryant Park: Relax in Bryant Park, a beautiful green space with seating areas and food kiosks.
Rockefeller Center: Go to the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center for breathtaking views of the city.
Food: Indulge in some great food at famous New York delis, pizza joints, or upscale restaurants.
St. Patrick's Cathedral: Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, a stunning example of Gothic architecture.
Theatre District: Explore the Theatre District for smaller theatres and off-Broadway shows.
Make the most of your extra days in NYC! Enjoy your trip!
Thanks for the ideas!
I don't have any idea
Mum searched for prostitute for her autistic son
What's a POD hotel?
I'm no expert of Manhattan but I really enjoyed my tour around the United Nations building there. The Scandinavians sponsored a lot with that building.
Itβs a small hotel chain in NY where the rooms are small and no frills. Iβm fine as long as I have a bed and a bathroom. I splurged and got a room with a queen bed, but some of the rooms have single beds or even bunk beds.
