There are some days when I just hang my head in shame, right from the very start.
Today?
One of those days.
While doing my hair this morning, I thought to myself....
Self! Why is there a melted spot on the toothbrush holder??
How on earth does this happen?
Was it the Spawn? Or a member of the Gang of Spawn?? Carelessly using hot tools on the bathroom sink?!?
I silently fumed as I went about my morning routine....
Curling my hair, brushing my teeth, checking the corners of my eyes for eye boogers.
Gathering up my lunch and collecting my phone, I was ready to hit the road for work when I felt something in my hair.
Something.... Crispy.
Heading back into the bathroom, I peered into the mirror for a closer look at the crispy curl....
And, discovered THIS!
Yep.
I couldn't make it up if I tried.
It was me, I was the one!
I had melted my own toothbrush holder with my curling iron and deposited the melted plastic into my hair.
Perfect!
Not gonna lie, I'm not quite sure how I can even get this out of my hair.
And, it's freaking me out a little.....
But, I digress.
For fuck's sake.... I am my own worst enemy.

I'm glad I don't use hair irons or dryers or id probably be doing something similar 😂
I ended up cutting 3 spots of plastic out of my hair. Thankfully it's easily concealable.... I've been literally using heat tools on my hair since I got my first curling iron in 4th grade. LOL
Yikes. Apparently, you can try freezing the affected area with ice, then carefully scraping off the hardened plastic with a blunt edge. If that doesn't work, consider using a lubricant like WD-40 or coconut oil to help loosen the plastic before gently removing it. Good luck!
I cut them out. Thankfully they were small clumps.

You may have to gently cut it out or get someone to cut it out.
I ended up cutting them out.
Try to pull strands out individually if you can, then cut the strands that you can’t as @positively4you suggests.
I tried, but they were fused. I had to cut them out.

Clusterfuckery. 😀 great term. I will steal it. The only fix for that may be scissors
