Welcome home to your Mighty Marine!
I see you've experienced the infamous squatty potty 😂 I wait til a stall with a "western style" one opens up.
We were at a public park, there weren't any western style. There was another tourist in there and she'd heard me gasp as I rounded the corner, there weren't even any doors in there. LOL She had yelled out "I hear ya girl! I did the same thing!" Those are definitely on my bucket list of things I never want to do again.
HOORAY!
Absolutely!
So happy for you. Happy early Mother's Day! Does he know what his next chapter looks like yet or is he going to take a little time to catch his breath and figure that out?
He is super motivated. He is already looking forward to being on his own and making plans for that. He has already been to the Secretary of State and gotten his CDL. He's already filling out job applications. He is still doing some medical stuff and physical therapy stuff with the VA, apparently he had a few medical things happen to him while he was active and he now has to keep them monitored, but he's also setting up his GI bill stuff to continue his welding degree. I'm really proud and happy to see how well he's got his plan together.
Good for you. I can feel your joy and happiness from here. 💕
Great set of photos, which captured a wonderful adventure. 🤗
I'll imagine your exploits in that last pic. 😂
I took so many photos. It was an amazing city, and beautiful.
That is great news.
It sure was!
Doesn't seem like it has been 4 years since you were posting about his leaving for boot camp. No doubt seemed longer to you though. Hope he settles in for a good life.
Sending you big hugs and is good to see you posting again.
I think he has a good plan. He is very motivated and knows what he wants. If anything, the Marines has given him a lot of opportunity for the future. I am so happy to have him home.
