Some days are ok....
I feel as though I barely see her anymore so I can appreciate any time we do get to spend together.
Some days I can't believe she is actually my child.
Today is one of those days....
I knew, the moment she emerged from the bathroom, belching like a trucker, that something was up.
"Really?? Is that how we make an entrance into a room?"
"Yah"
Rolling my eyes with disgust, I breeze past her to take my turn in the bathroom.
"Why is the toilet seat down?? What did you do?!? What did you do [Spawn]?!!!?"
I knew exactly what she did.
She took a poop.
Used too much toilet paper.
Clogged the toilet.
Left it for me to take care of.
"I don't know what happened...."
Disappearing into her room, she left me standing there, staring down at the toilet lid.
"This is EXACTLY how I wanted to START MY DAY!! Plunging someone elses SHIT down the toilet!!"
My eyes retreated back into the sockets when I lifted that lid, it was horrifying.
And, to top it off, there was a spider on the toilet seat.
I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried...
My rational mind tells me to teach her a lesson and make her take care of her own mess, but today was not that day, and I ended up doing it myself.
The day will come, trust me...
And, when it does, I will relish it.

Someday, she'll get her turn, at the least inopportune moment.
As a dad of daughters, its not unusual for me to ask the question, "What the hell did you cram down there?!" I own not one, but two drain snakes.
Have you seen the YouTube video, years ago, of the mom recording here son lamenting how he was going to clog the toilet Again? He starts listing all of the things he ate... Hilarious.
Not so much if you're the one having to fix the issue.
Someday, she will have her own place.
Someday, she will clog her own toilet.
Someday, she will crawl to you, begging to borrow the plunger.
I can picture your glee when that day arrives!
Tough start to the day for sure. Having gone through the late teen years recently, my thought is they pull away some because they are busy and don't need you as taxi anymore and some to sorta prepare you for the coming years where they are gone. Hugs momma. Sorry you had to deal with literal shit today. At least things should look up from there?
I wound up making her cry after I wrote this. Now I feel bad.
Nothing I said was untrue, but I was harsh with the delivery. Ugh…. So hard
I wouldn't have cleaned it up. I would have added my mess to her mess and see who blinks first!
