F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda lived in St. Paul for a time.
Ya mean "Zelda The Legend? "😂
His movie was a worthy watch.
And Francis's books were pretty good.🤗
Prince was from your neighbourhood as well.
@Paulxx001 True!
I know of no famous person from the closest town where I live. The county seat did produce a young lady who became a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, LOL.
Well... there ya go. 😂👍
Probably not the answer you were thinking would pop up, but a girl from my high school graduating class was Selena Steele, porn star. She never came to any reunions, which was too bad. We wouldn't have stared...much.
I did look it up, La Mirada, CA is where I'm from. G**gle has a list of people it says are famous. I don't know any of them. But Selena...that's a different story.
I expect nothing but a POV.
Interesting. Really interesting. 😂
It's all good. You knew her?
Gary has a knack:
@Paulxx001 I did know her, but more of an acquaintance. We didn't have any classes together. Thanks for the song. He sure does have a knack.
Miguel de Unamuno at a cultural level, and several football players whose names I don’t remember 😀, though I am almost sure that the people knowing their names don’t know who Unamuno was 🙄
"Famous" is a state of mind and an unresolved memory.
My band played on so many nights where we thought WE were famous.
For three or four hours. It was an illusion. 😲
YOU were famous.
But how can we prove it?
Or does it matter?
@Paulxx001 I think your band was probably famous on a more general level, whereas I was never really famous but just “well known” within certain particular circles 😀
@AuraAviatik6
As a musician in a band — we ALL thought we were famous.
Delusions of grandeur, and too many beers.😲😂
@AuraAviatik6
You, will ALWAYS be remembered.
Isn't that famous?💕
While there are a lot of famous people from Detroit, it isn't technically my home town. So, I had to do a Googie search ... Andrew Jackson Poppleton born in Troy, MI was the second mayor of Omaha, Nebraska and Steven Yeun was in the TV series The Walking Dead. I didn't go to school with either of them.
Technically? You mean you were born in a suburb?
No worries, understood.😂
Wow. That's a really cool list. William Shatner went to my school. I never saw him. I think he left before I got there.
Famous people: you can't tell when you meet them or pass them... unless they're already famous.
But I've met musicians who I knew would make it. Crazy to see unharnessed talent. I felt privileged.
Good
Better than good. 🤗
Some stars fade: the bright ones linger.
I've met a few people who climbed the ladder. It was a warm vibe.
"I'll always remember us this way."
What a memorable line.
Film remakes are fifty-fifty. That one cut it.
It was well done.💕
