I just learned a new word 📚. Webster’s dictionary defines paradiddle as, ‘a quick succession of drumbeats slower than a roll and alternating left- and right-hand strokes in a typical L-R-L-L, R-L-R-R pattern’.
I have a wide range of interests that keep me busy including travel, music, photography, literature and volunteering.
In drumming lingo, a paradiddle is one of the forty "rudiments," or basic International Standard drum beats. You've got the pattern right, and you are on your way... 👍🤗

And your ref to the cowbell — was my understanding of SNL and that infamous skit. It influenced my playing.
Whenever I wanted to get any bandmate's attention on stage (because occasionally they were so into themselves), I'd smack that fricken cowbell (on beat, of course), and their heads would turn.
It was an inside joke with the band. But, "bless" the cowbell. 💕

Then comes reading about various topics, though I’m especially passionate about science-related ones, along with romantic novels. Next is enjoying nature: I’m fascinated by birds. And, of course, my activities in the Community.

@Paulxx001 oh not only that but he'll bust out some beats while drinking a coffee or soda or something. Also, a lot of times, he'll have nothing but a bass drum and a snare ( and cymbals, of course) and does that even people with a full kit can't do.

He's often smoking 🚬 a joint, as well. I got lost one day and watched almost every one of his posts. When I see him with a snare and base drum — playing with one hand — I get the urge to sell my kit. 😮🤣

Practice pads are fine: I need a "condo-friendly" electronic set rather than my acoustic kit. I wonder what my neighbours would say if I set up my beloved "TAMA" in the living room... and let her rip... for an hour.😲
