I've had a few really close calls while driving: those were lucky.
I believe in strategic luck. I'll see what I can conjure today. 🤗
I'm a fan of "Final Destination."
So many tiny sequencial details... causing so many catastrophic results.
Have you watched any of the flicks from that series?
... click the pic for a full-sized view... Do you recall the roller coaster scene... ?
Poor lady, wrecking a car like that, which was probably 'the apple of her husband's eye'... The scolding she'd be in for when she got home and told her husband, 'Honey, guess what happened to me?'...
Regarding your question, I believe that we walk all paths, explore all options; there’s no such thing as luck: everything happens in some reality just as real as this one, though not this one... or maybe it is or at times it is.
The luckiest thing that has ever happened to me is undoubtedly meeting my husband. The odds of someone like him existing are tiny, and the chances of us finding each other even smaller. Yet, that possibility unfolded in this reality, though perhaps not in others... Bah! Don't mind me.
Her old Cadillac was built like a tank. Except for some scratches on the paint, there was almost no damage. 😲😂
Each path we choose presents us with multiple options; I'm always grateful when I think ... I've taken the right one. 🤔
I feel envious of your luck. 💕
@Paulxx001 I'm glad about the Cadillac, it's a beautiful car, and I think I've seen similar ones when I lived in Venezuela, with those sort of cannonball shapes sticking out from the bumper, though that model was already old back then.
As for the other thing you mentioned: if you're happy, it means you took the right path, that's my opinion.
A kiss, Aura
Classic, the car that is. Driving Miss Daisy should of been in play for the woman.
True... about that car and Daisey.
Thanks for popping in with the reminder. 👍
Sweet!
Thanks for popping in. 👍
Quite an experience. Paul I am glad no one was hurt. Maybe someone was trying to get you to think…
Now, I'm thinking about everything I do. Sheesh... lol 😂
Guess believe in, yet not much believe in anymore
Some belief is better than no belief. 👍
You were indeed lucky not to have been standing in that spot at that time Hun. The fates were on your side for sure..So bloody scary that would have been.I am so glad you and the others are all okay..xoxo
In life, timing is everything... more or less. 👍😂
wow///absolutely beautiful
I couldn't agree more. Thanks for stopping by. 👍
I do believe in luck or destiny. I have been delayed, then later found out there had been a terrible wreck. My guardian angel was on point that day
Too late or too early. Those types of moments always get me thinking.
Glad to hear you're missing all of it.💕🤗
Amazing 🤩 story
Thanks for slowing down to pause. 👍
@Paulxx001 I believe in luck and destiny..All this things happen I don't know coincidence or not...the luckiest thing happened in my life until now family like I'm live... Absolutely here in site learning freedom and happiness and my graduation from university as political philosophy
@Alfedofernanz200
It sounds like "luck" is working in your favour.
Continued good fortune. 👍
@Paulxx001 luck it's hard this days with me i wish to get this fortune but hard with this circumstances
The series of events and "what ifs" must have been quite an emotional journey.
Life can sometimes leave us questioning whether it's fate, destiny, or just plain luck that's guiding us. Personally, I find it a blend of all three—fate and destiny shape our paths, while luck gives us those unexpected twists.
Wishing you a year filled with positive moments, whether they come from fate, destiny, or a little bit of luck!
Actually... there was no emotion.
I kinda felt like a player in a News story. And since no one was hurt, it seemed like a movie stunt — more than anything.
Until... I saw those dozens of crumpled racks of glasses.
Tnen, my vision cleared. 😲
I believe in luck, despite not having much myself (neither good nor bad, so that's okay)
Fate and destiny? I could probably make an argument for them. Of course, it would be easier to believe in them if they believed in me.
Fate and Destiny are not worthy of impressing. They, are oblivious.
Now, about luck?
It's about paying attention, watching the lights, and not being fooled by repetition. I accidentally played the lotto using HER birthday and won some serious bucks.
She never called about her portion of the winnings.
I never offered to share.
I guess I was lucky. 💕
You have a daughter who shares your passion for adventure.
It might not be luck, but it's something many would envy and claim... that word. 🤗
Great story. We've had a few of those kind of incidents in the neighborhood; some of the stores have taken to putting reinforced posts between the parking lot and the plate glass window.
When we went to California for Thanksgiving, the ONE thing I forgot to pack was a pair of sunglasses. HWD's mom came to the rescue and insisted that I take not one, but two of her pairs of sunglasses for the long drive back to MN.
Many places here have similar posts installed. That store didn't, but I imagine it soon will. 😂
I can't drive without glasses. There are some roads and highways here where the low-lying winter sun can blind you for miles and miles. Traffic will slow down, and things can get dicey without a good pair of shades.
Luckily, his mom had spare pairs. 👍
Stunning
And that... she is. 🔥
Thanks for pausing.
