Good enjoyed visit. Once lived in metro DC
I was lucky to visit during a peaceful time. And in the Spring when itโs less crowded.
I loved DC, I also visited before 9/11, so comparatively ready access to most things. The museums were amazing, especially the holocaust museum, and I loved the National Mall and memorials. I even visited Arlington cemetery which was awe inspiring, evocative, emotional.
I expect there will be proposals for an orangutan memorial before long which will demean everything that has gone before it. By my understanding of the adjective, he is the least 'american' president I've ever been aware of.
Think read where planning his own victory arcr, named after himself, of course. Arch de Trump
I saw Arlington as well. It really is a shame what he has done to the White House. Turning it into Mar-a-lago.
When I visited Washington DC, I got to see no sights as I was busy attending a boring conference.
And shooting pool
@bignicktx You remember!
@spunkycumfun great memory
They should have had your conference on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
I actually got to wave at the President as him and the First Lady were arriving at the White House back in 2000. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. ๐ I still have my book and postcards of all the sights in D.C. Politics were getting more toxic, but it was still a more simpler time.
