GETTING USED TO THE GROOVE
Work has been good! It's nice to have conversations with adults again, play music, and feel productive. We have a brand new Yamaha Baby Grand Piano in our choir room that is heavenly to play. I immediately put a laminated sign on it, saying that students need permission to play it. There's nothing worse than having kids bang on it with all their might. My director is not much of a disciplinarian - I help with that.
Our kids were over last weekend to help close the pool for the winter, we grilled burgers, and ate on the deck. It was a beautiful night. As they were leaving, I noticed some sort of flag on the front of our pole barn. What the heck?? Those sillies. We laughed, but I couldn't help but thinking...."Do they know about our lifestyle???" I don't think so.
Sunday afternoon, we got the Harley out, getting ready for a ride, and we saw the small garden flag. Another one!! Goofballs!! We just left it...and took off. Our nephew has an RV at a campground at Oak Lake. Not too far, got there just in time for the Golfcart Rodeo. The driver is blindfolded, and the passenger gives directions to the driver, going around cones and such. Nephew and his buddy won! They split $120. It was a great day, little chilly, had a bonfire when we got home.
My daughter invited me to a 90's Dance Party tonight! I'm super excited! Her friends from her work are going, too, we all got neon windsuits to wear, fanny packs, scrunchies for our hair, and butterfly clips. I'll report back. I know I'll need a nap today in order to stay up late. LMAO!
