Wednesday I was still totally out of ideas on how to do pictures with me actually half naked for this last HNW theme of Books. Also only had vague ideas about what book or books to use in the pictures. Tuesday night I was invited to a Wednesday evening birthday party for a mutual friend and asked if I would bake the birthday cake. (I enjoy baking birthday cakes for friend's birthdays. I think it makes for nice personal touch.) Discovered I had to go to the store for a cake mix and other items needed to bake and frost it. So Wednesday was not spent thinking about pictures for HNW. Yesterday afternoon I had an idea for the theme and took a bunch of pictures intending to post yesterday. Kept getting interruptions when sorting and choosing so it was after midnight when I finally was ready to post. As it was so late I figured I could do the post this morning. And here are the pictures:
I do not think this is the best picture of me as I was not thrilled by my expression and would have preferred use one with me holding the book. I felt that it having the best or most readable shot of the book's cover was more important. BTW, this is the book I am currently reading to Diane.
These next two pictures were a close tie for the being my primary picture but as I noted the book's title and cover art did not show as well as in the first picture. I liked the look on my face in the first better in the first one below but felt that some might find the coverage more interesting in the one below it.
I would have used this picture as my primary half naked shot but as is so often the case it seems my best smiles seem to show show up in pictures where not all of my head is showing. Also, the scarf/lava-lava's being only half transparent would have made it perfect for the theme.
As I mentioned, this has been a busy week. Diane's sister's birthday was Sunday and we got together to celebrate it with a picnic by the lake. I baked her a birthday cake on Saturday and also baked up a double batch (14 dozen) of my Mom's ginger cookies. The weather has been what I consider to be on the cool side and perfect for baking. Gave her two dozen as a gift as she and her partner like them a lot. She really seemed to love that I baked her a birthday cake and also gave the cookies. I gave the friend whose cake I baked for her B-day party 2 dozen of those cookies as well as a bottle of red wine. Also gave 2 dozen to the party hosts. Will be giving at least 2 dozen to my daughter just because she likes them and I like her. Did not give any to Diane as she seems to be allergic to ginger.
Diane and I are still getting together for fun rambles, cuddles and sometimes just to sit and enjoy each other's company. When we do I always give her a foot massage and often a full body massage. She will be picking me up at 1:00 for a bit of a Nature excursion at a place we have not been to for while. I shall be packing a picnic lunch as well as a jacket. The weather has been on the cool side of late and today may not even make it to 60F with a brisk wind. I will have to wear jeans and a jacket today but shall not put on a thong as a token weather protest. It feels like it should be to early to start wearing any sort of underwear. I am hoping Diane will come up to my apartment after our ramble. I shall see if offering a full body oil massage will tempt her. My hands need to indulge in their addiction to caressing her bare skin and the sound and feel of pleasuring her. I should giver her a call and ask her to pack her preferred toenail polish as I am sure her toes need redoing. I will try to have her take pics of me painting them. Of course, when I paint her toes I must not wear more than one of my skimpiest G-strings.
Well, I have to go clean up, shave and pick out what I shall be wearing today. I expect I will not be putting on any underwear till I get home and start painting Diane's toes and no doubt she will remove take them off of me when I start her oil massage. Life is very good having Diane in my life.

The sheer scarf turned out to be a great prop
I sincerely believe that homemade goodies make a for a much more personal gift and do so enjoy baking them. Of course, I do all of my baking in the nude.
As I mentioned in the post, when I ran across the scarf I knew it was just the thing for the half dressed part. Putting a light below made the scarf show up in a wonderful way.

Thank You! I think the scarf makes the pictures much more interesting and the bit "coverage" just causes those who love to look to look a bit closer. Part of the key to the effect was to place a light below to give everything a glow.

I think you worry too much about your face. That first picture ... cropped from the elbows up ... would've been perfect.
Funny, using a cookbook never crossed my mind. Not sure why but I still am amazed at how I and we humans can so easily overlook the obvious.

Thank You! I was not going to take any pictures for this week's HNW theme as I could not think of how to at least try to be close to half covered. Then when looking for something else in one of my drawers I saw that scarf and thought that is would be great way to get half covered and make for an interesting way of not concealing anything.

That sounds like an interesting book. Happy HNW!
It is interesting but it was not about what the book title and chapter names seemed to imply. It is how a deeply depressed man found the his way to find help fighting his depression and how nature helped teach him a different way of seeing who he was. It is showing both Diane and myself new ways of looking at our world. Some things we already know but seeing them in new ways. With what is happening in this country we need to be reminded of such things.
