I was not sure about what sort of pictures to take for this week's HNW and had the same problem with last week's HNW pictures. Finally had an idea for last week and took pictures this morning. That got my brain moving for HNW - Ice Cream. I kept thinking of how fast the ice cream would melt in a bowl but realized that I needed to start thinking Inside the box.
I liked color of this picture a lot but thought my expression could have been better. Also the printing on the cartons as blurred.
For some reason the lighting changed but I did like my expression better in this picture. Again the printing was still blurry. Maybe part of the problem as the frost on the carton.
The frost seems to have melted or the camera just focused better. Not sure if I liked this smile better or not but everything was in much better focus.
Last Week's HNW - Household Items Pics
I got three essential kitchen items in this picture and managed to even be semi-discreet. A fancy cutting board, my coffee maker and my coffee grinder rate as household items. Two of those are absolutely needed to get my day started. Clothes, of course, are not needed or desired. Especially in this hot weather.
I liked this picture better as it shows the grain on the cutting board better and I managed to crop out the edge of the stove.
While taking the prior pictures it occurred to me that it made the perfect cheese cutting and serving board so I had to show it with cheese and a knife. Actually I have other cutting boards and hang this one on the kitchen wall. Mainly for decoration. It was a gift from Diane.
I realized that the most important item did not show up well in any of my prior pictures but it did in this one taken by accident. I intended it to be a possible outtake but noticed that the coffee maker showed up very clear.
I set a delayed time to release this as I have to leave by no and I ill need to edit in all the dropped double-yous. I hope I did not overlook any missing Ws That key is not working on the computer I keep my pictures in. Just up and quit except for when it starts filling a space with all the Ws the space will hold.
I do not know why but for the past few weeks I seem to have gotten writer's block when I have tried to do a post. I had intended to let you all know that Diane's Calling of the Directions at Aztalan on the Solstice went very well. After she had written her notes and sketches of the responses we enjoyed a lovely picnic. (BTW she knows the responses do not come from someone or thing "Out There" but is something deep inside of her that she is connecting with."
We have gotten together several times for brunch and/or a car ramble since then though not as often as we would have liked. I have a few pictures I took and intended to post last week. I also went to Devil's Lake Sunday the 22nd. Sorry no pictures of me in my swim suit and hat with a new hat band. Diane has been very busy with Doctor and Vet appointments which cuts into our times together. After I finish this post I will take a quick shower (It has been another hot humid day, much like we have had for the past two weeks even when we got rain.) Then head out for supper and and overnight with Diane. I expect I shall be repainting her toenails before putting any clothes on tomorrow morning. Not sure how the rest,of the day will go other than there will be a number of nude hugs and massages occurring.
I hope to get my kayak in the water late tomorrow or on Saturday.(Rain Storms are expected on and off on both days.) Maybe take it up to Devil's Lake on Sunday and even get a picture or two.
Well, time for me to shower and put some clothes on to go see Diane and let her know how much I care about her.

It is a lovely cutting board. One that I think is too good to get scarred up by using it so it hangs on my kitchen wall as a decoration.

The morning started well as I woke up late sharing Diane's bed. Unfortunately, she was not feeling too well. Either strong allergies or coming down with a summer cold. I left not long after we got up so she could go back to bed.
Spent a couple hours of the PM trying to fix my other computer's problem with not being able to type the letter W but it often would fill blank spaces with a long line of that letter. Did not succeed so packed my little red suit, some wine, water, soda and ice and lounged by the local lake. Felt good as the breeze was coming off of it and it almost felt cool.

@justskin1 Our heatwave has just ended.
@spunkycumfun After today ours here in Madison will also easing off from upper 80s/low 90s to low 80sF. May that be your last heat wave for the summer. Not likely but a good thought. Well, an advantage of hot weather is it makes a good excuse to wear almost nothing or better nothing at all. Heading out to Devil's Lake in a few hours. Unfortunately everybody there is expected to wear some sort of swim suit. I go with as skimpy a brief as I can get away with. Now many of the young women go with very cheeky thong bottoms. Love a cheeky suit. Especially on a more mature woman.

Stayed overnight with Diane so got to wake up next to her this morning which made for a great start to the day for me. Unfortunately, she felt like she was coming down with a bad summer cold or some serious allergy. Left before lunch so she could veg for the rest of the day. No doubt we will be getting together many more times this summer.
I wound up by the local lake wandering about in my little red swim suit and drinking a red wine or a bit of iced soda from my golden goblet. The breeze off the lake made it almost feel like a reasonable temperature instead if a humid 88F. The lake was rather choppy so I did not get out in my kayak.
I hope you manage to keep cool this month and avoid any nasty weather.
Glad you liked the pictures. I do love the way that cutting board looks. It is another of Nature's way of creating art from an old olive tree. Diane gave it to me because I liked it and she heard me say so.

That one happens to be a Chocolate Mocha Mud flavor but I have to agree that asking for Chocolate Ice Cream is always not only acceptable but often the wisest choice.
