With being out in Chilliwack for my oldest sons marriage at Cultus Lake, Chilliwack B.C., and living in the Fraser Valley from 1981- 2006, the Canadian band Chilliwack became inspiration..
Chilliwack being an Indigenous Salish term meaning "valley of many streams" and the name of a city an hour east of Vancouver in the Fraser Valley. Chilliwack the band released its debut album, Chilliwack, in 1970.
Chilliwack is a Canadian rock band centered on the singer and guitarist Bill Henderson. They were active from 1970 to 1988; Henderson re-formed the band in 1997. The band started off with a progressive rock sound that incorporated elements of folk, indigenous, jazz and blues, before moving towards a more straight-ahead hard rock/pop rock sound by the mid-1970s. Their six best-selling songs were "My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone)" "I Believe", "Whatcha Gonna Do", "Fly at Night", "Crazy Talk" and "Lonesome Mary".

Both the Canadian band, Chilliwack and Chilliwack B.C. is so near and dear to my Canadian heart, my sons wedding, just outside of Chilliwack at Cultus Lake and living out there for 25 years.
Most of my readers here are American so may not have heard of Chilliwack B.C. or the band itself. I am glad to introduce you to both Chilliwack B.C. itself and one of Canada's legendary Bands from the West Coast of Canada.. ENJOY!!!

The song My Girl sounds familiar to me. Especially the intro. I like their sound. I have heard of Chilliwack, likely due to following hockey. Do they have (or had) a junior team ?

Living in western New York I had a summer cottage in Port colborne . Listened to lots of Canadian radio stations and Chilliwack became one of my favorite groups, can only hear them on Canadian radio,good thing I live so close and can pick up the stations

@author51 I still listen thanks to xm radio and the fact I'm so close to the border I can see Canada from where I live, trooper is another favorite of mine. You'll never hear a lot of these good Canadian artist if you don't get Canadian radio,great post oh and I love your pics😘
