She understood what he had said, and just as clearly, what he had not. There were things she could hold, and others she knew to leave untouched. Some stories are shared openly. Others remain private—and she has learned to respect that boundary.
She did not step in to be seen. She stepped out because she already was. She was not waiting for their gaze, and she did not need their approval. She did not have to justify herself.
