I enjoyed my time while visiting Canada, one of my fondest memories was driving through Kamloops, BC and stopping at what looked to be Victorian house that was turned into a lunch place with sandwiches and salads. To sit down, there were sofas, and normal looking chairs, window benches. It was quaint and so lovely, it felt like stopping at a friend's house for lunch.
Anyways, I kinda want to be in Canada right now.
@resant78 What a lovely memory—thank you for sharing it. That sounds like such a cozy, one-of-a-kind spot. Kamloops has a quiet charm that sneaks up on you, doesn’t it? I hope Canada calls you back soon… there’s always more beauty waiting just around the bend.
I spent most of my life in the Metro Detroit area. We crossed the border like crossing the street. I miss those days.
Happy Canada Day, Neighbor!
@superbjversion2 Thank you, neighbour! Those were simpler times, weren’t they? Wishing you a happy Fourth of July and a summer full of good memories.
@mufdiver69er2 You've been there, eh?

@PonyGirl1965 Hugs right back! There really is something about a peaceful day that feels like a gift, isn’t there? Canada 🇨🇦 has its quiet charms, and I’m grateful for them—especially on days like this. Wishing you a beautiful Fourth filled with calm moments and kind hearts. 🇺🇸

@ClassicRock2015 So glad you enjoyed it! I hope your Canada Day in Fenelon Falls was full of sunshine, lake breezes, and that small-town magic the area does so well. There's something extra special about celebrating by the water. 🇨🇦

@MrRareity Thank you so much. I feel lucky every day to be surrounded by such beauty and quiet strength—Canada has a way of offering both in equal measure. Wishing you a happy Fourth of July.
Great
It is on my list to visit for sure. But still so much of my own country I haven't seen.
@CL_Love I completely get that—there’s so much to explore in your own backyard! But if Canada ever makes it to the top of your list, I hope it greets you with still lakes, wide skies, and a little quiet magic. Until then, happy wandering wherever the road takes you.
@sexyldy1000 if you don't mind me asking, where are your favorite places to visit in Canada?
@CL_Love Each province has its own unique features and highlights, depending on whether you prefer urban or rural settings. At the top of my list are: Newfoundland, the Maritimes, Quebec City, and Banff.
@sexyldy1000 Banff is probably top of my list. It seems to appear in a lot of my social media. Such pretty scenery. I do worry that it is overrun with tourists though. I'll have to check out some of your other suggestions.
@CL_Love We can discuss and I can send you information to assist.
Happy Canada Day hun I hope you enjoy yours.
@Tmptrzz Thank you! Wishing you a happy upcoming Fourth of July may it be filled with sunshine, good company, and a little summer magic. 🇺🇸☀️

You as well
Happy Canada Day.
@spunkycumfun Thanks for the wishes from across the Atlantic—hope your July’s off to a lovely start as well.
I enjoyed the mental image that you painted with your prose. It gave me a feeling of calm peace.
I think that the world would be a better place if we all would just stop and take in this peacefulness once in a while!
I especially liked the line about "...bluejays bickering..." such an apt description. I grew up in New England an love watching the birds and learning their quirky personalities.
Best regards,
Jeff

@FreeSpiritSails Thank you - your words bring the same kind of peace you found in the post. There’s something grounding about tuning in to the small dramas of birds and breeze, isn’t there? I imagine your New England roots gave you a front-row seat to many feathered personalities! And that sunrise… what a beautiful happy place to carry with you.

@knottyboy12345 Bonne fête du Canada 🇨🇦 from coast to coast (and quietly in between).
