We have some great letter writers in blogland!
@superbjversion2 Thank you! Sometimes it takes a bit of wading through the one-line debris, but when you do find great letter writers, it’s always worth the journey!
Come an hour and a half north were a freezing rain storm caused thousands of trees down ....limbs snapped and over two thousand hydro poles snapped and lines on the ground...No power for over ten days and lineups to get gas to run generators ...and of course as it rained and the ice melted rivers overflowed there banks and left silt and debris to clean up...and some don't agree with climate change....maybe mother nature is having a bad few weeks.
@ClassicRock2015 I read about the devastation up there, and it’s heartbreaking to see how much the community has endured—days without power, immense cleanup efforts, and the lasting impact of the storm. It certainly seems like Mother Nature has been having a rough few weeks, and unfortunately, you all bore the brunt of it. I hope recovery has been going as smoothly as possible, though I know it must be a challenging road. Wishing everyone affected strength and support as things slowly get back to normal.
Same story here in Vermont. I think she is off her meds. 😂
@Firewalker105 That’s definitely one way to put it! Mother Nature has been all over the place lately—like she’s going through some serious mood swings. Hopefully she finds some balance soon before we all need to start wearing snow boots in July! 😂 Stay warm (or dry… or whatever she decides next)!
@sexyldy1000 I will do my best. Hope you do also. If I have to wear snow boots in July, I am retiring early and moving South sooner than expected. 😂
The weather now-days is like Donald Trump, unpredictable and often reckless.
@easyrider4008 Touché!
Remember that old margarine commercial " Do not fool MOTHER NATURE " ðŸ˜
@jc_powerman I sure do remember it, and thought of it while writing this post 😊
Winter thunderstorms are just weird.
American midwest springs are known for fluctuating conditions...cold one day, hot the next, sunny then rainy (same day even)...I very much considered writing Mother Nature and requesting that she refill her mental health meds...
@CL_Love Ah, the Midwest—where you can experience winter, spring, and summer in a single afternoon! Maybe you should start packing emergency outfits for every possible season when you leave the house.
I know what you mean, I get excited with a warm sunny day, me thinking we are sliding towards summertime. Then the following week we get clouds and drizzle.
@resant78 Exactly! It’s like summer is teasing us—giving us a sneak preview, only to snatch it away at the last minute. Mother Nature really knows how to keep the suspense alive. Maybe next week we’ll get a bonus round of unexpected hail just to keep things interesting!
Great letter to Mother Nature I hope you get all you ask for as for me I love the rain, the thunderstorms, although we never get snow I would really enjoy some. We get HEAT, HEAT and more heat. Or we cloudy weather with little to no rain. The weather has become so dangerous that I wish we could go back to the old days when CLIMATE wasn't such an issue.
Thank you for this letter and I hope you enjoy a thrilling Thursday..
@Tmptrzz Thank you! It sounds like Mother Nature is working in extremes over there—endless heat or stubborn clouds. Maybe she could sprinkle a little balance into the forecast! If only we could go back to the days when climate didn’t feel like such a rollercoaster.
Wishing you a cooler and thrilling Thursday ahead!
I think predictable patterns of weather may be a thing of the past.
@spunkycumfun You might be right—Mother Nature seems to have thrown out the old weather rulebook! At this point, checking the forecast feels more like guessing than predicting. Here’s hoping she settles down soon!
From what I see we are going to have a wet and cool spring and I agree with everything you said hugs to keep u warm
@moonbeam1 Looks like Mother Nature is leaning into the ‘cool and damp’ theme this spring—she really does like keeping us guessing!
