Sadly, too many young women do not understand how far women have come in the past 60 years. Prior to the 70s job listings were segregated into jobs for men and jobs for women and few women questioned it. No women's sports in schools, some schools required a girl, not considered a woman till you got married, to get special permission to take a science course in high school. Yep women have come a long way but there are "men" with egos more fragile than their moldy balls trying to push you back to barefoot, pregnant and ignorant property. They may say it is God's will but seems that their god is their fragile ego.
@justskin1 The struggles you describe—segregated job listings, limited access to education, and the lack of opportunities in sports—are a testament to the barriers that were once considered 'normal.'
Yet, as you rightly point out, the fight is far from over. The fragility of certain egos and the misuse of ideology to justify inequality are challenges that persist. It’s crucial for younger generations to understand this history, not just to appreciate how far we’ve come, but to recognize the importance of safeguarding these hard-won rights.
Your words are a call to action—a reminder that progress is never guaranteed and must be defended with the same courage and determination that brought us here. Thank you for lending your voice to this ongoing conversation.
@sexyldy1000 You are welcome!
As a woman in a most male field, I always feel this deeply. I know so many bright and capable women that struggle to find their voice and place at the table. I have experienced nearly all of the things that no woman wants to in the workplace. The glass ceiling still exists and is thick. I continue to pray that things will be better for my daughter...or at the very least I will have raised her in a way that she knows to stand up for herself in all of those awful situations.
@CL_Love . It is inspiring to hear from women who continue to persevere and advocate for themselves in male-dominated fields. Your strength and determination not only pave the way for your own success but also create a ripple effect for future generations of women, like your daughter.
The struggle to find our voices and secure a place at the table is a shared one, and the glass ceiling, though thick, is gradually being chipped away by brave and resilient women like yourself. Your prayers and efforts to raise your daughter to stand up for herself are invaluable contributions to this ongoing journey towards equality.
Together, we can continue to support and uplift each other, ensuring that the path forward becomes a little easier for the women who follow.
I’m surprised that an executive order hasn’t been issued to ban celebration of Women’s Day 🙄
@JN63JPN Since I don’t live in the U.S. I don’t know 🤷ðŸ¼â€â™€ï¸ if one was issued.
@sexyldy1000
I'm guessing that it would be all over independent media if such an order were issued
@JN63JPN I know all cultural festivals there were put 'on pause' which means cancelled, so it wouldn't be surprising if the same happened to Internationa Women's Day.
Happy women's day it's deserve to appreciate ladies girls
Sadly, my country seems to be back-sliding on investing in women.
@superbjversion2 Thank you for sharing your concern. It’s indeed unfortunate to see any back-sliding on such an important issue. Women’s empowerment and equality are essential for progress, and it's important for us to keep advocating for positive change.

Equality and empowerment for women should be celebrated and respected every day.
@Paulxx001 Equality and empowerment for women should indeed be celebrated and respected every day. It’s important that we all continue to work together to support and uplift women in every aspect of life.
International Women's Day is a very worthy day to reflect on the positive roles women have played and are playing.
@spunkycumfun Women's Day is indeed a worthy day to reflect on the positive roles women have played and are playing in our lives, societies, and the world. Together, we can continue to support and celebrate these contributions!
