I pray my kids think of me fondly and often when I'm gone.
@CL_Love I know you will be remembered in their hearts forever.
Totally relate to that brother
Incredible 😍😍😍
My husband passed away 22 years ago. Unforgettable was the song for the bridal party dance at our wedding.
My mother passed away 9 months after my husband. I once took her to see Englebert live. Naturally, he sang The Last Waltz.
This hit me in the feels today.
@superbjversion2 My mother and I also had the opportunity to see Englebert live a few times, and The Last Waltz was a particular favorite of hers. It was even known as "their song" when my parents went dancing—such a beautiful reflection of their love.
Unforgettable is such a poignant and timeless choice for your bridal party dance, and it’s incredible how music holds such profound memories for us, connecting us to the moments and people we cherish most.
I’m so sorry for the losses you’ve endured, but I hope the love and memories shared with your husband and mother continue to bring you comfort.
Hugs to you as I know how you feel it's been 13 years for me like you I feel my mom next to every day. I live in the house I grew up in so yes I had a very happy childhood. As I say they might be gone but none can take them from our memories. Thank you for this post and sharing your thoughts with us. I hope you have a great weekend.
@MrRareity Thank you for your thoughtful comment and hugs. Like you, I also live in the house where I grew up, and it’s such a special connection to the happy childhood memories that were made there. You’re absolutely right—though our loved ones may be gone, the memories we hold are something no one can ever take away.
@sexyldy1000 I call my house my happy place and piece of heaven because it is. We both had happy childhoods which seems rare today.
Hugs to you my friend, I know you miss her so much. But you have some wonderful memories of her and that is a great thing. I don't know what happened to your song but I think the site got it.
I hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend..
@Tmptrzz Thank you, my friend, for your kind words and hugs—they mean so much to me. I truly cherish the wonderful memories I have of her, and they bring comfort even in moments of deep longing. As for the song, I actually posted four, and they are visible in the comments section of my blog. I hope you enjoy them—they’re such a special way to share memories.
Thank you for always being so supportive. 💕
hugs to you my friend. It's a reminder to people to appreciate their parents while they are still here.
@resant78 Thank you so much for the hugs and your thoughtful reminder. It’s so true—cherishing our parents while we still can is a priceless gift.
A void that never leaves.
@1salesman3 It's so true—there's a void that remains, no matter how much time passes. But within that space, we hold the memories, love, and lessons that continue to shape us.
Time heals but thankfully — never forgets. 💕
Thank you for sharing such personal memories.
@Paulxx001 It's comforting to know that time allows us to heal while still holding on to the precious memories of our loved ones. Sharing these personal moments helps keep my mother's memory alive, and I'm grateful for the support and understanding from readers.
That's not a day I don't think of my parents now long deceased.
@spunkycumfun Our parents leave such an indelible mark on our lives that their presence is always felt, even long after they’re gone. Those memories become a part of us, and thinking of them every day is a beautiful way to keep their spirit alive.
A classic selection of wonderful songs... and memories. 🌹
@Eviloutlaw1 Thank you. Music was and continues to be a big part of my life. My Mother saw Frank Sinatra’s first appearance here in Toronto and she was a lifelong fan.
@Paulxx001 When my mother passed, my son put together a compilation CD of her favourite tunes which played during the visitation.
