I was born imperfect and became aware of that quirk in my teens. Music has always helped sooth those frayed edges. It usually works. And I have an autopilot when I really need to be on my game.
Or I'll disappear and be alone.
Over time, I've stopped caring...
... and dance to whatever beat is playing. ๐ค๐
@Paulxx001 It sounds like music has been your faithful companion, soothing the rough patches and providing solace. Sometimes, when life feels overwhelming, we find our own rhythm and sway to it, regardless of the chaos around us. Keep dancing to your unique beat!
Not surprised you included that song choice ๐๐
I allow myself a good cry and woe be me moments every now and then.
Life goes on and onward, ho!
@JN63JPN Letting go of the built up feelings is something I can identify with. It is therapeutic and cleansing. We pick ourselves up, ready to face the next hurdle!
I go through low energy stretches where I donโt really even want to get dressed or leave the house. I havenโt discovered the trick to snap out of it but at least they always do pass, eventually.
@smartasswoman I understand how challenging those low-energy stretches can be. Sometimes, it feels like even the simplest tasks require immense effort. Remember that itโs okay to take things at your own pace. When those stretches do pass, brighter days await. Take care!
Not enoughโฆthank you for the post.
@Lee79416 I appreciate your honesty. Sometimes, words fall short, and emotions canโt be neatly wrapped up. But your acknowledgment means a lot.
I'm probably not OK more than I am OK, but life goes on and I put one foot in front of the other to keep on keeping on. All that can be done. I try to find the little joys where I can - which is usually time with family and/or friends. Music can sometimes help. Quiet prayer can sometimes help. A good cry or an orgasm can sometimes help. But usually, I embrace the fact that (like my grandma always said)...this too shall pass.
@CL_Love Lifeโs twists and turns can be quite the ride, canโt they? Itโs like weโre all on this rollercoaster, sometimes gripping the safety bar tightly, other times throwing our hands up in the air.
When the days feel heavy, I find solace in the little thingsโthe way sunlight filters through leaves, the warmth of a cozy blanket, or the taste of a perfectly brewed cup of tea.
And yes, your grandma was right: โThis too shall pass.โ Itโs a mantra that echoes across generations, a reminder that storms donโt last forever. So, we keep moving forward, one step at a time, even when our hearts feel like fragile glass.
Remember, youโre not alone. Weโre all riding this cosmic carousel together, holding each other up when gravity threatens to pull us down.
Lately I have not been ok. Cowboy knows. I think I am even starting to get panic or anxiety attacks. Not full blown but still very difficult.
I did inform the kids I am having blood pressure issues related to stress, in hopes they would back off on the drama. Nope. I keep trying to push the stress away but I wake up and within an hour, somebody has dumped on me.
Deal with it .... Nothing is guaranteed. I have prayed. Masturbated. Upped my stupid game playing because it is distracting. Cried buckets.
I know this is a temporary phase. Please let it be temporary! So I try to focus on the idea that life will improve. Less stress, more peace.
And I ponder moving far away as though that would solve anything.
Hugs!!!
@PonyGirl1965 Iโm sorry to hear that youโre going through such a challenging time. It takes immense strength to share your feelings, and I appreciate your openness.
Stress can feel overwhelming, especially when it seems like thereโs no break from it.
Itโs commendable that youโve tried various coping mechanisms, from prayer to creative distractions.
Be kind to yourself. Youโre doing your best.
Youโre rightโitโs likely a temporary phase. Life has its ups and downs, and this too shall pass. Keep holding onto that
Sometimes people donโt realize the impact they have, and setting boundaries can be crucial for your well-being.
Sometimes a change of environment can provide a fresh perspective. Consider what truly brings you peace and explore those options.
Sending you virtual hugs! Talking to a trusted friend can make a difference. Youโre not alone in this journey!
Mmm still trying to reach that state...is not easy...as it seems..
@taurean62dbn No one said it was easy. The journey is often tougher than the destination.
Bad days for me, depending on season, itโs exercise, long walks, gardening, music or books, glass or two of cognac. Sometimes itโs just talk with friend.
And knowing that tomorrow is another day
@EnyojLife Itโs wonderful how youโve found your own unique ways to navigate those tough days. Whether itโs a soothing walk, the warmth of a cozy drink, or heartfelt conversations with friends, these rituals have become your anchors. And youโre rightโtomorrow holds promise ๐
@sexyldy1000
I never know what is going to work but something always works.
Me too.....take it day by day...deal with the kicks and punches as they come. Try not to let them build up n consume me. Yes....a good cry often helps ! Im not ok.....know it....and thats ok too ~
@jajo696 Absolutely, taking it day by day is a resilient approach. Life can throw those kicks and punches, but acknowledging them and allowing yourself to feel is essential. A good cry is like a pressure valveโit releases the emotional buildup. And youโre right: itโs okay not to be okay sometimes. Recognizing that is a sign of strength! ๐๐
It is okay. Great post.
@1salesman3 What is Ok? What did you like about this post?
@sexyldy1000 Life is okay, just go with the flow and accept as given and strive for better.
@1salesman3 Thank you for clarifying. Sounds like an approach that is quite manageable.
It's definitely okay, and normal, to have ups and downs.
I can relate
@resant78 It seems many experience it. What do you do to get through those times?
@sexyldy1000 For example today, I started to feel some anxiety creep up. It's something I've dealt with since I was very little. I have a strange feeling of dread and darkness, but I know it's from deep inside of me.
What is working for me now is to exercise. Go to the gym, or if the day is nice, go hiking. I sometimes like to channel the darkness into art and photography and that has really helped!
I believe everyone has their own way of handling their peaks and valleys.

Being hugged by a friend also helps.
@resant78 Thank you for sharing your experience. Itโs brave of you to open up about your feelings.
Anxiety can be quite challenging, but itโs heartwarming to hear that youโve found effective coping mechanisms.
Exercise, whether at the gym or through hiking, is a wonderful way to release tension and boost endorphins. And channeling your emotions into art and photography and creative expression can be incredibly therapeutic.
Youโre absolutely rightโeveryone has their unique way of navigating lifeโs ups and downs. Sometimes, a simple hug from a friend can make all the difference. ๐. Take care!
While I do allow myself to not always be OK, I usually handle it in solitude.
@superbjversion2 Awareness is fundamental to managing. I am glad you have ways that help you through those times of not being ok.
I tend to go to where my feelings take me.
@spunkycumfun Hmm..๐ค and where do they lead you. And are there different outcomes?
@sexyldy1000 Both happy and not-so-happy places, though I'm generally a positive person by nature.
What a great poem as it does resonate a lot in my life.
I just take it one day at a time and make it the best
that I can.
Thank you for sharing such an inspirational poem
with us.
I hope your Thursday is filled with many
sexy and fun thrills..
@Tmptrzz Thank you for your kind words! Iโm glad the poem resonated with you.
Taking life one day at a time and making the best of each moment is a wonderful approach.
May your Thursday be filled with joy, adventure, and delightful surprises! ๐
Oh, I know how important it is to try to stay in those grooves. And I do try. Sometimes the need to be in the feelings of the moment just has to be accepted. It's the best way to get to the other side intact.
@redswallow777 Thank you for sharing your perspective. Itโs true that sometimes embracing our feelings in the moment is essential for our well-being. Acknowledging our emotions allows us to navigate through challenges and ultimately emerge stronger. Keep being resilient! ๐
@sexyldy1000..... you too!
