In this world of “alternative lifestyles” known as BDSM, the acronyms alone can send the average novice, curious, nosey individual into a tailspin. On the surface, the BDSM Initialism defined as Bondage & Discipline, Dominance & Submission, and Sadism & Masochism, is seemingly simple enough to comprehend in theory. But it is the further breakdown of how the subcultures are defined that gives me pause. They say a vivid, open, and non-judgement imagination is key for understanding and acceptance of these alternative expressions of pleasure. But why is it that this (the photo) is what I envision when I try to wrap my head around it all? Okay, I’m still working on the non-judgmental part. 🤦🏾♀️🥰🤷🏽♀️
