Thanks, but what's the "cure"? To prevent it from happening or reverse it if someone (not me, but someone out there) starts to see some symptoms?
Well, like for women and menopause, you can’t stop it from happening. The body will decrease production of male testosterone as it ages, as ours does with regard to estrogen. And like us, you can opt for hormone replacement therapy. Hormone replacement therapy involves taking synthetic hormones to replace those lost due to low testosterone levels. But you would certainly need to consult your doctor on that, in that there can be side effects. Eating a well-balanced diet with foods high in zinc, omega-3s, vitamin D, and calcium promotes hormone production. Getting enough sleep is essential for slowing down andropause, as testosterone is produced during REM sleep. There is a blood test your doctor and do to tell you what your levels are. For us, those numbers tell us if we are perimenopause or in full menopause. Hope this helps.
