It's a long weekend here in the US.
Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States that honors the American labor movement and workers' contributions.
As a former nurse who worked weekends and holidays .... pppfffhhhhttt! LOL
I truly think it is awesome that workers get a day off. I tease because Cowboy and I had careers that were 24/7.
It has been a damp, moist, wet, steamy week in Oklahoma. The two funnies reflect moisture, LOL.

We haven't seen rain in a while, but typhoon season will be starting soon, so we'll be getting tons of rain then.
Yes indeed it's going to be a very long weekend. And thank you for your service as it's very much appreciated. Working a 24/7 job is very hard so I know exactly what you mean.

I never had to work the holidays, except when the rolling on-call duties feel to me, about once a year. THAT SUCKED.

Yeah, musicians work 7 days a week, too. Not as much as I used to. Trying to stick with the 7:30-3:30 job alone.

The weather is a bit of a cock - up, by the look of it. The weather here is, a Antarctic blast, affecting South Australia, Victoria, and, New South Wales. It's cold, windy and wet. Labour day is good for acknowledging the workers.

Eminem has apparently heard the cover, and, got his publisher to contact Kasey and gave her the rights to the work. I love her version. It goes for about 8 minutes. If you listen to the whole track, I'm sure you will be blown away.

We have had rather cool weather week that is about to get warmer but stay in the 70s for daytime highs. I believe I shall have to get to Devil's Lake soon if I want to be warm enough in just my swim suit. May your weather cool off from torrid to just comfortably warm very soon. Love the funnies.
