How are you?
Another beautiful day in the heartland. Clear blue skies. Reasonable temperature. I love pretty days.
Friday, Cowboy and I drove an hour to check on an old man with a litter of pups. An acquaintance is trying to capture and rehome the pups. I have had great luck in this type of endeavor but not today. I left without catching any of the wild ones. Nobody else has captured the last two so I don't feel too bad. It will take time to gentle them.
I can't lie. My heart wasn't in it. I feel sorry for the old guy. And it is exhausting how endless people are so stinking irresponsible. Someone needs to step up and be responsible and I'm tired of being that person. I'm hoping they manage to get the momma dog spayed before she is bred again. The daddy dog also knocked up the neighbors dog. Nobody on that road seems to be clued in to low cost spay or neuter surgeries.
Help control the pet population, have your pet spayed or neutered!

When I used to have pets, that's the first thing I did when they were old enough.
It's always good to help others, but sometimes you just get tired. I get it and I am glad I don't have any pets and if I did I would get myself a Siamese kitten as I have been wanting one for a while now.

Ours were mostly female pound rescues and you couldn't even take them home till they'd be fixed.
I thought it was New Year's Eve when I saw Alabama vs. OU! 😀

In our area, we have many Mexican immigrants who buy up land and houses out in the country. The one thing they ALL have in common? They cannot secure their animals! We always have horses, cows, goats and chickens lost down the roads. It's aggravating.
I guess it saves on buying hay but then you lose animals that you bought. Thats dumb.
I could go on and on about what they're doing to our beautiful countryside, but I won't bore you. It's very sad.
I always had my cats spayed or neutered. It's a no-brainer unless you are a breeder.
