How are you?
Today was a pretty, sunshiney day. I love pretty days. Of course, my work today was inside. Laundry and cleaning. I also was a good girl and sorted thru the dish cabinet. It's nicely decluttered and I had 2 bags of dishes to be donated. We dropped those off along with a box of clothes, a stack of books and a basket. I am trying to be mindful of my spaces. Clutter messes with my head, so tidying up makes me happy. I'm that kind of whackadoodle.
I did start some seeds. In 7-10 days we will see if anything sprouts.
I bought my seeds from Baker's Heirloom Seeds out of Mansfield, Missouri. I love supporting an American company that's purpose is to do good. Keep us healthy and well fed.
I planted basic Simpson's Lettuce, and Lunix Lettuce which is red-purple. Also Spinach - I forgot the variety. Monstrueux I believe. These are laid in a folded, moistened paper towel. I wait for them to spout then plant them.
I put two kinds of tomato seeds in cups with dirt. Cherry tomatoes and a meaty tomato named Bread and Salt. Once they grow enough they will get moved to big buckets of dirt.
Cowboy assembled an old frame I had originally made for showering on the carport at the lake while I retiled the bathroom. The lights hang from the frame. I bought two used grow lights off of FB marketplace. I guess the tweakers didn't have luck growing their whacky weed so they sold the lights cheap.
Dinner was leftover stuffed peppers and green beans. I love my comfort food.

I stayed in the city since I got back late from a trip and had work on Monday. Got lost on the subway on my way to work. I should've just walked. Would've got to the office sooner. 🙄

When my son was in Nagoya and traveling to one of their other offices, he got engrossed in a good book and miss his train stop. Ooops!

It is not wacky at all for tidying up to make a person happy!
For your tomatoes you might want to consider a heat mat underneath the pots, since they like warm soil. Another helpful thing is to run a small fan in the room where the seedlings are. Not pointed directly at them, just to keep air circulating a bit, it helps the plants to develop stronger stems and helps reduce the chance of "damping off" (you can google it).
I did add some heat. I do not have a fan in there. That is so smart! Thank you for the advice!

Monday was ok other than pricey trip to grocery store. Had to restock a bunch of staples plus get some things for hubs to take to farm for deer season. And of course already have thought of a few things I forgot. 🙄 Tuesday going OK. Nothing too exciting. Sunny and cool this morning but warming up. So many favorite comfort foods...pasta. pizza, soup, mashed potatoes, ice cream, brownies...mmm making me hungry. 😆
The grocery store is a big expense. I hope we can find ways to lower our costs. Feeding people is starting to be a luxury.

Sounds like you had a very busy day, so good to donate things we no longer need. I have to say I am not a fan of stuffed peppers as my mom used to make us eat them when we were kids. Everyone makes them different and I am glad you enjoyed yours.
My favorite comfort food would have to be Biscuits and Gravy as my grandson calls it Nana's Wonder Gravy. I love cooking this meal from scratch as it just tastes so good makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
There are lots of food though that comfort me, I hope you enjoy a terrific Tuesday.
I usually make unstuffed peppers, LOL. I slice the green pepper into the dish so we get the flavor. Eating the actual pepper gives me a wicked case of burps, LOL.

We're rapidly heading into comfort food season. Nothing like a warm filling beef stew on a cold and snowy winter day. (Not that we get those any more.)

You can absolutely grow something. Once lettuce gets started, it grows beautifully. I harvest the outer leaves and the plant keeps growing and I keep eating. You could also just grow a potato plant with a chunk of spud and a cup of water. You may not eat from it but it makes a pretty green plant

I hate decluttering. It is a necessary evil though. Cowboy doesn't throw anything out. Ever. One day after forcing myself to go thru some things, I felt lighter, happier. It clicked that the clutter disturbed my peace. Though I have a terrible weakness for books. I bring them home in stacks. Big stacks

It feels so good to organize! I'm right there with you. The last couple of days at work, I emptied 5-6 file cabinet drawers. (We need the room for music.) I found warranties from the 80's, old brochures and itineraries from European trips, plus stacks of dietary restrictions from the students who went! LMAO!!! All of this stuff is online now. Favorite comfort food - Fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli.

Following your grow process...loving all the lettuce varieties. Not really a comfort food person, i like the fall n winter soups. stews n squashes though. Tuesday will come what may . Me too....am downsizing and donating. ~
