Happy Columbus Day! I don't celebrate Columbus day. No clue why. Maybe it is my Native American blood kicking in, LOL.
Did you have a good weekend? My teams did not win. That's ok. We had some amazing food and a great time.
One of my non bio sons has been joining us, bringing his wife and baby. Well, the baby has figured out I will feed her anything from my plate. I'm a pushover.
She is still developmentally delayed. She was a preemie then had to have surgery which caused another delay. So even though she is a year old, she is just now crawling. I brought out toys and before we knew it, she was crawling and pushing a toy car in front of her. I also taught her to push the buttons on the car to make the lights flash and make car noises, LOL. The best part was when she chose me for cuddles and passed smooth out. We snuggled for a couple of hours before she had to go home.

@lust4life59 @smartasswoman I love Indigenous People day! I can fully support that. Many of the tribes around us had events. But the gov't still chirps Columbus ....
i mean he may still be celebrated but not for discovering what was already found. Just today i read ..acc to dna ...he and his sons were Sephardic Jews. Italy is outraged....

Well today is the Canadian version of Thanksgiving. We celebrate in October mostly due to our shorter growing season.

No it has to do with fall harvest festival most European countries did it or used to, like Oktoberfest is one example that’s all, nothing to do with natives or pilgrims

So nice that you got to spend a couple of hours with your grand daughter they are such a blessing and sounds like she has been through a lot in her short life so far. I hope she continues to be happy and healthy and have no more health issues.

Ya just gotta love the little ones, right? Nothing brings a smile more than the sound of children laughing and having fun. Even moreso when they are not mine and they can go home with their parents.

Loving attention can do ANY human being wonders.
Yes!! Babies in orphanages in other countries who were rarely held did not gain weight or meet milestones. So sad. I hold and love all over the littles

Happy Columbus Day! My school is calling it Indigenous People Day. What?? Whatever. I'm going to snuggle Baby B before I go to the dentist for my crown. Can't wait to smell him.
