Hello Lovebugs,
How are you?

Saturday was a great day for football. We watched the morning and afternoon games at home while I baked the cake. We went to our youngest sons house for Oklahoma Sooner's evening game against Houston. They did win though their performance was lackluster.

The food was incredible!! DIL B baked potatoes and cooked toppings of bacon, fried onions, fresh shredded cheese, chopped fresh green onion, melted butter, oh my. And a big loaf of crusty garlic herb bread. I brought the shredded pork in Claudes brisket Sauce which is a commercial marinade that we love. DIL C brought green bean casserole.

We split our potatoes then I dumped pulled pork on mine followed with heated BBQ sauce, chopped green onion, friend onion, a little bacon. Oh my goodness, it was so rich and savory. Just perfect.
Green bean casserole on the side also covered with the fried onions. A slice of garlic bread balanced on the edge of my plate.

During half time we had the cake. I sort of 'goofed' with the cake. I grabbed the dark chocolate cocoa powder instead of the typical cocoa powder. It was the most delicious mistake.

Sunday Cowboy mowed while I did some deep cleaning on a bathroom. I cooked stuffed peppers and green beans for dinner. It was simple and so good. The tomatoes and sauce just made it all so delectable. Then leftover cake for dessert. This was truly a weekend of the best food.
