How are you?
Today America celebrated Independence Day. Late afternoon we had thunderstorm warnings but it was all south of us. I watched the clouds and lightning and hoped for rain. There were very few sprinkles when I was heading to the back field to water the horses. What we did get was a glorious cool down! Our temp went from 100 and a smidge down to low 80's. It made doing chores downright pleasant.
Later after dinner the western clouds parted and the porch and patio was vividly lit by the setting sun. I went outside and found a rainbow, the full bow to my east. When I looked west to the sunlight, I noticed it was sprinkling on the other side of the house. Literally part of the house was dry and the other part had sprinkles, LOL.
Mother Nature is a fun ol' gal.
The temp was down in the 70's, cool enough to work outside, so I grabbed a bucket of little solar lights and scattered them among the landscaping around the pond. It really looks cute.

Was doing a morning walk this morning and saw the mighty Missouri doing its thing.
That is a whole lot of water!!!
@PonyGirl1965 luckily it never hit the flood stage. This area is regular area for a playpartner and myself to meet for some make out time.

The storms that have come through did bring a brief respite from the heat in the evenings. Summer is always more tolerable when at least part of the day cools off to something less than 80 degrees.

I miss buffets, LOL. Covid killed them. Now we have to eat whatever slop they slap down in front of us.
I'd never survive your heat. Low 80s is still too hot to make chores pleasant, IMO.
I'm with you. Low 80's is hot enough. The extra heat is wasted on me.

I am not sure which is funnier, 14hrs or BDSM. The truth in the 14hrs one for too many women is what makes it funny. The BDSM one has me wondering what the neighbors are expecting.

I had to read the funny twice; before I understood the implication. The rainbow picture would have been better; if you were in it.
I need to buy a selfie stick. My arms aren't long enough to get me and the focal point in the same pic
@PonyGirl1965 Yes, please, a number of pictures would be so much better if you were in them. I recently bought a tripod, that had a cell phone holder as an option. Maybe your phone has a time delay option, which could give you time to get into the picture before it is taken.
@jondoe319 It does have a time delay. Then I have to find a way to prop it up. A tripod or stick would be great help.

Great picture, took the grandkids to parade then mostly just hung out with them and watch them interact. Great for first cousins to be together. Hot but cool mornings in the hills of Va.

The weather here has turned humid again. Late yesterday afternoon, went with a friend for a 6 km (3.5 mile) walk through a conservation park, along a forested trail, following the river. Amazingly, came home with only 1 mosquito 🦟 bite.
