How are you today?
I watched the Preakness today. Seize The Grey won. It was a lovely win. The track was wet. yet the winner was still clean. He was in the front pretty much the whole way.
His trainer D Wayne Lukas will be 89 this Labor Day. He has won so many incredible classic raves. I am impressed by his skills.
Tonight we went to the drive in (daughter and the kids went to the Savannah Bananas baseball game) and saw IF (Imaginary Friend) and Fall Guy. I did not understand IF. It was cute-ish. I usually love kids movies but this one just didn't draw me in. The Fall Guy in my opinion was dumb. Over half the dialog was one character talking to another on the phone. Boring! The action scenes were ok. To be fair, since neither movie appealed to me, it might have been me. I wasn't mad or sad. They just didn't tickle me enough.
The burger basket was fantastic as always. And I can't complain about the bucket of popcorn

I saw IF yesterday. I was disappointed, found it confusing and wondered how kids react to it. The cost of a small, buttered popcorn (I rarely order it) was more than my ticket!
Last week, I saw The Fall Guy. I thought the storyline was weak, the stunts were impressive and Ryan Gosling looked hot.
It’s been a long time since I have been to a drive-in.
I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by IF. I just felt like I missed something.

Many years (decades) ago, the local movie theater had $1 movies on Tuesdays at 1:00. I'd show up and see something I knew nothing about. Some were good and others not so much. A bucket of popcorn was always the saviour!

There are no drive-ins in Japan that I know of, but there are theaters in malls. I usually get a big bag of popcorn and a couple of cans of soda at the supermarket, stash them in my backpack, then go to see a movie. They’re not too strict about bringing in food and drinks.
We have a theater in the county seat. Nothing fancy. The city has some really comfy theaters. And they charge really big prices.
I see two movies for $8. In the city it's $25 for one movie. Yikes.

Theaters charge about that much here, but I can get in cheaper on Wednesdays since they offer a discount for women 😁

I saw Fall Guy as well, seeing how my dad worked on the TV show for the first season. It was a so-so movie but had some nostalgic moments for me to have a chuckle.

@PonyGirl1965 Define 'work'. The floor won't lay itself, I think thats a masturbation pun there.
The old floor had very thin padding underneath and no plastic for a moisture barrier. Plus all Gray walls made for a drab color scheme. So, all white with two accent walls, 6mm plastic with 8mm recycled rubber padding this floor is comfy to walk on. I will share pics when I'm done.

The plan to hit a drive-in during the recent trip was aborted when it turned out to be 55 degrees that night.
I am happy to go in the winter. We leave the windows up and I snuggle under a blanket
Drive in sounds fun! I don’t think we have any that are still open in my area.
I think we have 7 or so left in the state. I'm lucky that one is nearby.
One advantage of not having any kids is that I haven't had to watch kids films as an adult.
I love kids and kids movies. Less chaos and hate. let's me think for a while that the world might be a kind place
I watched the race too. Kinda bummed there won't be a triple crown winner as Mystik Dan was right there too.
Love the drive in...most around here have closed. I may have to scope one out this summah.

No TV or movies for me yesterday, we were out on our Harley all day! Vroom!!!!!! Now I have laundry to do, grass to cut, and groceries to buy before the work week starts. Crap!
