Good news! I am going to get Flu A soon. Why? Well, ya know, all the cool kids are getting it.
And grand girl tested positive for it tonight.
We thought she had a bacterial ear infection brewing. We were wrong.
Texting a few friends to let them know they might have been exposed, we found that a neighboring school was shut down 3 days last week due to illness. And the other big grand girl does have an ear infection.
I am not ready for more illness. But the forewarning will let me prep some meals for the freezer to minimize the chaos

I been very luck not getting the flu . Yes I have had the shots plus my routine of supplements have got my immune system in high gear. That is just me. My wife and daughter got the covid and I keep myself away from them till the were safe.

I take my vitamins and supplements to keep my immune system happy. It's worth the effort.
Fingers crossed you don't get sick, but smart to think ahead on the meal prep. Had a good weekend that started early on Thursday night with a concert with my best friend and my daughter. Hung out with my bestie Friday, Saturday and sent them back to Springfield after a nice breakfast Sunday. And of course, my Chiefs won Sunday so that was good.

Maybe this flu thing is a way of slowing your self down. Our bodies have a way of protecting us that way. Hoping that its a mild manageable case, if at all. Sending vibes of good health to you fam.~

I don't get out much, so chances of getting something are fairly minimal. Did get up to see S yesterday, and hoping to meet her and her new girlfriend soon. 😁

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. My weekend wasnt too bad. Had a sweetie over and baked some cake layers. This month is white cake with prosecco and strawberry filling and I'm going to attempt a mirror glaze. I'll share pics as it goes along.

@PonyGirl1965 Hello Pony, as promised. Picture of two cartons of strawberries and a bottle of prosecco (in Croatia a waiter told me and some friends it was the local Prozac for the ladies). Then the crumb coat flavored with some of the boozy strawberry juice before I reduced it down. Yep, its a bit crooked but its a free experimental cake for the office, they won't care. Lastly is the mirror glaze.. That was fun.

During the height of Covid, flu was almost non-existent here. Everyone got vaccinated and were diligently following all the prevention protocols. There have been warnings it was back with a vengeance. Since I often work at large consumer & trade shows, I make sure I keep my vaccinations up to date including the high-dose flu shot.
Hope none of you are hit too hard and recover quickly.
Covid was such a lovely time. I was never sick. LOL
@PonyGirl1965 I wasn’t either. Despite also being fully vaccinated, someone I know was just diagnosed as having Covid for the second time.
Hope your prediction is wrong Pony and you don't get. So you can be the caregiver that you are. Hope all the grandkids get well quickly. My weekend was a cold one and busy feeding animals. Plus lost 2 newborn calves because of weather. Hugs and blessings.

Hi Pony up here in wisconsin the flu has been rampant all over I had a touch for a weekend, so stay healthy and some hot tea and honey and if you like some spirits in the tea go for it sexy..
I bet the spirits will help kill off some things. Thats a great reason to spike my tea
