Stretching towards the last leap

With my shin surgical wound fully healed after 3 months, and no more on and off fever episodes after the wound has closed... I'm in a much better shape these days. Finally I have enough sleep now that I no longer need to be the caregiver for my dementia Father in law as he has passed away last month. I have my own space to pace myself to do what I wanted to do these days.

With less things to worry about, my peaceful mind is more active as I realised I can finally memorized better. So in my last post, I shared that I have 5 books to study for bible exams, which I spent a whole night reading through.

On the actual day, the 5 books were split into 3 modules for exams. The first exam I gotten 85/100, the 2nd exam I gotten 92/100 and the last exam I gotten 86/100! I was amazed as these are the highest grades I ever had since starting my class! The first few months I was always sick and not able to concentrate and missed a lot of lessons due to my hospitalization. I am always tired as I have not been going out of my home for a decade... so pushing my limits to venture out was quite daunting at first too. Now I am glad that I tried... and seeing that my ability to study is still there, once I am not so occupied with health or other issues.

Then I went through all my current modules and know I still have 10 assignments till 1st Sept (word count from 300-5000 each) which I managed to do 9 so far! I left only 1 more assignment which is due on coming Friday night. I would have time after school on Monday & Wed both afternoon & evening to do that, since other days I have either dialysis or bible group meeting.

This coming Tuesday there's another 2 more exams. Plus two more exams on 10th Sept then we would have a more relax period of academia marking days for break. Followed by preparation for graduation and a dance routine.

Previously due to my high absence rate (for shin recovery & taking care of my dying FIL), I missed a lot of ministry hours (about 18 hours) which is akin to internship hours. The school Dean's wife even offered to let me not do the 48 ministry hours but I would not get the Diploma with credits if I can't fulfill due to my health issues. The deadline to fulfill is till end of this month. And I'm proud to say I would have fulfilled the missing hours in all by today afternoon as I paid back the last 3 hours (doing extra Seniors ministry in another location) after my morning Usher ministry in the main church. Next week we would have to do our last ministry week and all are completed for this internship module.

I felt relieved knowing I have been doing my best so far for this 6 months' course despite my ill health and other commitments. I know there are others who think I am not able to fulfill what would be required... but they do not know how 'stubborn' I am when challenged.

Now left only barely one month of study, exams & one more Mock Cell Group presentation. Next two weeks would be fun, as it is on Spiritual Warfare and one week on Soul Care. Not sure if there would be more assignments for Spiritual Warfare since that is the last module for this course. But mmmm, long time didn't do deliverance... could be quite interesting!

I'm really looking forward to finishing this diploma and then signed for up the next level in Associate Degree. That would be done via Zoom, once a week for a year. It would be so much less taxing for me, no need to pay so much every week just to go for ministry duty by hiring medical van to fetch me there. No more getting caught in the rain or hot sun as and when as I need to travel out daily for weekdays. I can stay in my air con room doing my own research to write thesis.

My stroke ridden Hubby was so nice as he would be inheriting his share from his Dad's asset so he told me he would sponsor me for my next two years studies (in Associate Degree and then the Bachelor degree.) I felt so loved as this is his sincere caring way to thank me for taking care of him all these coming 30 years. What more can I ask? I have led a wayward life prior with committing affairs yet Hubby still loves me so much.

I only want to lead a quiet happy life serving My GOD and spending the rest of my simple life honoring this man GOD blesses me as we grow old together. And looking back, my lived experiences became the wisdom when I ministered to those who are hurt or wounded. GOD always have HIS PURPOSE for our lives, to be testimonies for HIS GOODNESS. Amen.
