Online scam movie

Due to advertising on rental ad as one of my tenants has finished his 2 years work here and not renewing his contract, I had been getting weird text messages to my ads... whom the tactic are almost the same... asking for more details of my property and how many people in my home, then will give excuses when I told them I only will reveal upon meet ups... I will not even send them the room photos as some scammers will use the photos to scam others. Their typical excuses will be they are too busy to come viewing, which is a good indication that they are not sincere viewers at all. When I said I am also busy too, so can only discuss upon meet up... one of them tried to start a quarrel with me which I blocked immediate... knowing this is the typical tactic to intimidate someone to give in to them.

It is frustrating trying to weed out scammers at this time of the year too. Maybe I will have to wait for Chinese New Year to be over to find real tenant as most of them might have also gone back to China for their holidays. Hard to find a new tenant now.

And due to this, I suddenly remembered there was a scam related movie so I goggle for it. I found someone uploaded it to youtube and spent the last 2 hours watching it. I would say they dilated the violence and gore for cinematic release. Because in real life, it is much much worse!

Looking back in my life, I have done foolish things in my younger days too. I went alone to Turkey to meet my first lover whom I met over the internet in 2008. I felt he could have sell me away for a certain amount that he told me about, but he was kind to warn me of the danger and told me never to trust his countrymen if they ask me to come to his country alone again. He told me the foreign girls they can get their hands on will be sell to the other Europe nations for sex and even produce babies for trafficking too. I'm thankful he even sent me all the way to the airport to ensure I went back safely.

After that I met my 2nd lover in 2010 who was also good in IT and he shown me stuff that can hack the system, proxy server that bound from one country to the other, and even a device that can alter the phone number too. Through him, I know about fishing tactics and other online terms. He often went into the other 3rd world countries for businesses not clear to me. From then, I learn to be caution about scams way earlier than most of my Asian counterparts. As least I am aware of them and not get myself into unnecessary trouble or situations. But I have met some whom have been scammed of their lifetime savings in the past decade when the scammers are now targeting Asians more.

Really with all the new scams that's coming up... it is even more scarier to think what the younger generation can get themselves into for being too trusty. This movie is just the tip of the iceberg of the cybertrade of scams. You may watch and share what you think too.
