Changes

The past week was busy with almost back to back events... from attending year end appreciation sessions for volunteers like me in different charity groups, to a night at home celebrating Elder Sister's birthday, to preparing X'mas gifts for my dialysis nurses and team on the Doctor's monthly round... and also rushing to prep last minute farewell gifts to bid goodbye to my dialysis transport team that I have known for the past coming 4 years, as my dialysis Headquarter decided to cut cost by changing new vendor for certain number of patients, which unfortunately I was in the list of the few centres they chosen for the change. I was notified by the transport team the next day after they were given less than 10 days of notice. I felt sad but I know I also can't do much after calling in to find out that it was the new appointed CEO's decision.

At least I make sure everyone get a gift from me... usually chocolates in boxes, butter cookies in festive red Xmas tins design... and cute Labubu soft toys (not original of course as it's too expensive these days) for every health care workers that has cared for me in this medical journey together. And yes, I do notice some with strong religious beliefs didn't like Labubu as they said it is a type of evil monster, so I did prepared cute angel girls keychain as another option for the gifts.

All these rushing here and there, and out there mingling with the crowd does affected my health... I soon caught a flu bug as the rainy season is here, with many people coughing and sneezing out there. I didn't have my yearly flu jab yet, as my health wasn't that well and I suddenly developed allergy to my latest Hep B vaccine this year in April... I had heart issues and was warded. Thus, I was told to do a full allergy test in coming Jan first, before allowing myself to get anymore new vaccine. Thus, my immunity is pretty low and I ought to avoid crowd for my health sake.

So as I am nursing this flu bug, I didn't blog for awhile. I still have a busy week ahead so I just gotten keep this post short. I'm still glad I gave the gifts in time for I might not see some of these healthcare workers again. I have chosen the Labubu with wings coz these workers been my Angels while they cared for me.
