Well, just done with my zoom class as a guest speaker for parents with children having eating disorder. Now relaxing to music... Thinking back to my younger days struggle with weight issues... it's still an issue despite I overcome most of the bad habits and accepted that I'm still plus size.
How I used to wish I can be as thin as my other Chinese peers but I have to remind myself I'm only half Chinese. With my Dad's Eurasian DNA, I can never be as thin as my Chinese Mum's race... But I will always be the social outcast where my country majority 70% are Chinese. I find it so hard to fit in when I have to study Chinese for my mother tongue 2nd language, and identify myself as Chinese because Eurasian are so rare here as the minority race. I turned to over dosing on diet pills, excess exercising, eating then puking type of behavior, harming my own body in the process.
Anyway, long story short... It was later I went for gastric sleeve surgery in Dec 2018 to cope with my Yo yo weight issues that I have better control of my eating habit with surgery, dietitian on meal planning, psychologist to teach me skills on not doing emotional eating, etc.
Looking back, my BFF J always teased me... that my life is so full of drama too. That she said this song always reminds her of me.

I know a few people who have had that procedure done and the weight loss was pretty drastic. But it was a last resort kind of thing for them and it seems they have kept the weight off for now. I’m glad it has helped you.
@Dusty_bawls02 Yes, with the inflation going up... I can eat a lot lesser so my Hubby can eat more too. I feel full and doesn't have the food coma problem I used to have when over eating. This way I feel more in control to focus on other things to do. Also helped a lot in weight control as I begun to see my other family members and friends around this middle age period gaining weight as their metabolism goes down. They're also getting health problems once their weight goes up!

Well I’m happy that the procedure worked well for you. I know what you mean about getting older and weight gain, since I retired I find it very easy to gain weight and I have to exercise harder to keep it under control.
@Dusty_bawls02 True, it's getting harder to keep fit as we aged. Need a lot of hard work.

@spunkycumfun It does help a lot that I do not have craving much and easier to do weight control.
