Suddenly I was craving for Shepherd pie on Friday and made 3 portions. Shared one with Hubby... then Hubby invited his BFF over for tea time. Hubby took out one and gave to his BFF, who ate some and brought the rest home for his elderly parents. Meanwhile, the next day my Elder Sis came for a visit and we ate the last pie with the seasonal fruit - durian. I only ate one piece as a box of the good breed Mao Shan Wang durian costs SGD $12 per packaging. Not cheap to eat this fruit.
Came Sunday and I went for church service yesterday morning.... the sermon was about the different names of GOD... which the last one for the day ended with 'Jehovah Rohi' (The LORD is My Shepherd.) Nice... no wonder I was craving for it.
These days, I notice my youth time spiritual gift of knowing things before it happened is coming back slowly. The other week, I was praying at night after my evening trainer class... where other course mates said they were inspired by me despite my challenges in life. And a small voice reminded me that I have to be the light and salt of the earth to continue the good works.
The next morning, I saw my favourite oversea pastor preaching on the same sermon in a short reel on the FB news feed. Such divine coincidence... nice... the more peaceful I am these days... the more I seems to be alighting my pathway with the teaching.
I'm planning to go to the School of Theology next year. I have done my duties to care for my own father till his deathbed, cared for my mentally ill hubby all these 29 years and still counting... also cared for my dementia Father in law... all these traditional Asian woman's roles... now as I'm at the last stage of my lifespan due to my health issues... I only wish to get back to my love for my GOD... to do good by serving in the ministries among my community till one day I'm called home by The LORD too.
Coz if I'm going to Heaven, I wish to bring more friends along the ride too. This coming Sunday, I'm starting to do evangelizing to my tenants by inviting them to church with me too. I just wish to surround myself in an environment of love and care, for self and for the good of others as well.

I've had cravings for shepherd's pie and even cottage pie.
@spunkycumfun Yeah, these pies are delicious and so filling! Yummy! I wish cheese are cheaper in SG then I can make more cheesy pies too.
@Lady_Elizabella I always put a few drops of Worcestershire sauce in those pies before cooking.
@spunkycumfun Hi five, I do the same here too but the Worcestershire sauce can't buy from the usual local marts... need to order from special more expensive online store.
I enjoy eating shepherds pie on the odd occasions I make it and durian isn’t cheap here in Thailand either so it’s a treat when I do have it. Your shepherds pie looks delicious.
@Dusty_bawls02 oh even in Thailand the durians are expensive too? I think they also have different breed type, right? Some are cheap over here but I know my family love the MSW or Red Prawn types of durians which can be expensive. Shepherd pie is part of the Eurasian culture here in SG. My godparents always have that for Christmas too. The best will be mix of minced mutton with beef, for chewy bits and the fat of the lamb made the dish pretty fragrant.
