Pre Birthday outing jitters

Yesterday Monday I had a busy day with my paperwork and meetings from morning till 5pm. Too shrugged to think of anything else but sleep right after dinner. All of a sudden, everyone from my different social agencies were looking for me to make arrangements to meet up. I think might be their mid year key performance indicator/KPI assessment period, that's why.

At first after my surgery last Mon, I wanted to just rest for 2 weeks away from my usual paperwork or meetings. I was planning to just relax and think of how to celebrate my actual birthday this week, but something happened on Sunday that triggered my Hubby... and ended up I have to make calls to speak to my case manager to highlight the issues to her management... then also making sure my Hubby get his psychotic injection on time to stabilized his moods.

And then there were some overlapping house calls so I was practically on my feet all day, meeting different groups as there are also government contractors coming in to check on some of the water proofing/leakage issues before they can official start our neighbourhood's Home Improvement Program/HIP. HIP is our local government's repair and renovate upgrade new fittings for flats older than 30 years old at a heavily subsidised rates.

Plus yesterday's endless agencies' calls for meetings already took up all the slots till this Friday... non stop meetings again. I didn't have time to plan for my trip itinerary if I wanna go town to visit museums as what I wanted earlier.

So instead of going to town for my birthday outing with my female BFF & her lesbian partner on this coming Friday, I decided to play it safe and again, taking everyone's concerns into mind. Even though my medical escort can fetch me to town/anywhere in SG for a flat rate, I decided to just go to a mall in my western area near me as my medical escort also need to fetch other dialysis patients in the west too. He too, stay in the west and sometimes need to fetch his wife and teenagers from schools or work too.

I also know my female lesbian couple need to travel far if we have the Girls Nite out in town. My BFF finished work near town but doesn't wish to hang around there too late as it's hard to get ride home past 10pm. Her partner is also working from home this Friday so will take longer for her to travel to town. Since they stay in the west and I arrange in the west, they can enjoy themselves then go back home to rest early after our nite out too.

Well, we are all in our mid 40s-50s, and not like youngsters who can dump everyone aside to meet up or having so much energy to go home really late. So after discussing with my BFF, we settle for the western cluster of shopping malls. This time though, I choose the eatery as I'm craving for a nice hot piece of juicy steak. And with the air con indoor malls, that will also avoid the situation of my electric wheelchair getting stuck outdoor if it turned out to be a rainy day.

I can also use this chance to go shopping for some stuff I needed to replace. Like the old plastic large dish washing rack that's already broken and the only Swedish brand that carry that same design is there. Or to another cheap good Japanese brand to get my reading glass with screen protection as there's already scratches on the one I am using now as I blog. See, a homemaker like me always thinking of getting practical stuff for the home even if it is meant for a rare birthday outing.

Anyway, I plan to just shop then go to get a seat at the eatery early, because Friday night is always crowded for dinner. I do have some pre jitters coz long time I didn't venture out to buy things on my own, I always have all groceries and food being delivered to my home. I think the trend now is cashless, so it is also like a new adventure just to be able to blend into the crowd doing the norms in these malls that I'm totally not familiar with at all. Haha!

A part of the nottie me is leaving bread crumbs in this post... leaving hints where I might be hanging out at.. and it is not difficult to spot a plus size sassy mama in an electric wheelchair on a crowded Friday nite. Well, not many AFF readers in SG as I can see my fans are mostly from other countries. So the chances of someone wanting to stalk me when I'm out there is pretty slim. Lolol... but I don't mind if someone come up to me asking if I'm Lady Elizabella. But I think where sex is still quite a taboo here, I don't think someone will want to ask this as that also show he or she is an AFF member too. Oopies! Haha!

Just gotten survive through the next few chaotic days before I can let my hair down to enjoy my Girls Nite Out.
