Despite how this site is marketed as a sex site by the marketing team, this site offers much more than just sex. There's a great community right here in the blogs. There are plenty of groups that can scratch just about any itch. Cams offer free shows broadcast by real couples or satisfy exhibitionists need to show themselves in the safety of their own homes.
I joined this site just out of curiosity since I heard about it chatting with some dude on another vanilla site. He was rather disparaging, saying how AFF was filled with exhibitionists and weirdos. My interest was piqued. So, I opened my browser and seeing how it was free to join, I signed up.
First thing, I eyes were assaulted by a plethora of dick pics on my home page. Needless to say, I was not impressed. I wouldn't be surprised if there were unsuspecting women who immediately deleted their profile after being subjected to the unpleasant view.
I discovered the chat room pretty much right away. Then I was hooked. The community in the local chat room was great. I heard that the chat room was much more active in the past years, but it was still filled with good people who welcomed me warmly. I spent so much time in the local chat room, I was practically living there.
There was a gal who lived near me, so we decided to meet up for lunch. She was a sweet gal who insisted that she was 5'11 3/4" tall. LOL She not only introduced me to her FWB, but also to my first FMF experience. She and I had fun times until she moved overseas to take another job.
I organized get-together dinners with fellow chatters from time to time. We had a group of local chatters who liked to share meals with a bunch of laughs and stories. And did we tell some raunchy stories! LOL Sadly, the group members scattered across the globe.
Another gal told me about the blogs and I got further hooked. The blogs gave me a chance to explore my inner exhibitionist and before I knew it, I was posting HNW pics every week. It also gave me a chance to express myself in my own way. I love how I can talk about just about anything freely (within reason). A few years pass, and here I am, moderator of the HNW group.
I met up with a few good dudes who turned into great playmates, but it's the community in the blogs that keep me here.
Sure, the site is riddled with glitches, bugs, practices and policies that leave a lot to be desired, but there are good people and connections that make things tolerable.
What keeps you on the site, despite any misgivings?

Important inspiration... for me it's sex and fun maybe agree with some points you're talking about it.. discover experience know people around I'm not knowing before..more information about sex and advices.. friends Absolutely

One of the things I love about this site is that sexual, erotic and sensual topics can be talked about. I do not think it being so much a sex hook-up site as a site that is more about being able to explore sexual fantasies. What else can one think of when someone asks about meeting up and you are on different continents.
I have met a number of people on this site I think of as friends and have even had the chance to meet a couple of them in person. They are mainly what keep me on this site despite the glitches and sometimes irritating idiots with nothing to say or offer other than a big dick or big boobs and a lot of bluster.

What a good reminiscence. I too learned about the place from some PG-13 interactions, came for the hooking up (did a decent amount of that), stay for the blogs - and have hooked up with several blogger babes to boot! 😁
I've met a couple of local bloggers back in the day. One organized a get-together (no hook-ups). It was fun 😁
The best thing about the site, by far, is its members. It's blogland that keeps me here now that I no longer swing and thus have no need for the dating side bar for the very occasional mail.
I hardly ever go over to the dating side these days, unless I get an email to delete
In my case, since the distance system in the dating section has been completely broken for years, at least in Spain and France, where I live, making AFF useless for actually meeting someone in the real world, I’m here mainly for the Blogs section, which is an active and diverse community.
There is a great community here, for sure 😁
I agree the site has issues but I think most sites have some issues. The blogs are definitely the best part of this place.

I haven't been feeling very inspired lately and am finding that I have trouble keeping up with reading/leaving comments on the blogs that I follow. We'll see. I will have some travel posts coming up, at least, as I'm going to Iceland next week.
