@Strezlecki ... I was kinda hoping for an explanation. I don't understand half the stuff people write... American vernacular mostly, sprinkled with typos, bad grammar & poor spelling & written one handed while masturbating.

I do like whisky, vodka, gin, tequila, red wine port drambuie & cointreau to name a few.

@FionaRing Rum for me is a slow and easy night,whereas bourbon becomes a hard and fast night,especially if it is mixed with cola. And by the way, Drambuie is our family drink...

"Family drink"? I never knew there was such a thing. I grew up in a house full alcoholics, there was no liquor cabinet.

@FionaRing Here is a cocktail 🍸 mix that is a great sipping drink. It's called "Long Island Tea"
A Highball glass with ice 🧊, 1 shot of Vodka, half shot of white Tequila, half shot Cointreau, half shot Gin, half shot white Bacardi, Top with dry ginger ale to give it a bit of colour. Instead of the Bacardi, seeing you aren't keen on rum, maybe a full shot of Gin instead of a half shot. Maybe add a slice or two of lemon 🍋. It's a potent drink, so, only in moderation. Ha Ha Ha...

@FionaRing I just checked out blood and sand. WoW. That looks nice. I'd never heard of it. I've been thinking lately of getting the 70s mixers, like vermouth, cinzano, and advocaat, and many others.
