My Mid-Month Challenge -- TOPIC - "Beauty"

HAIKU

Soft petals whisper,
Morning light on silent streams—
Beauty breathes in still.

LIMERICK

There once was a painter named Lou,
Who captured the world in one hue.
He said with a grin,
"True beauty’s within—
But a little rouge helps too!"

This one I found it difficult for me and took way longer to put together my thoughts but here it goes.

FREE VERSE

Beauty is not loud.
It doesn’t knock on your door demanding attention—
it lingers.
In the way light rests on her cheek,
in the quiet ache of a cello at dusk,
in the story behind your tired eyes.

It is the scar that healed,
the laugh that escaped in grief,
the imperfect lines that define a soul.

Beauty,
is not made to be owned,
only noticed
in a moment you didn’t expect
to feel so alive.
