Seven Things To Say

1. To my high school Art and English teacher for talking me out of dropping out. You both saw something in me that no one else did. I was the only one of four kids from my family who graduated HS and College. Although I was the only one with out a HS ring and no one in my family made an effort to go to my graduation, I am very proud of what I accomplished and even paid my student loan way ahead of schedule.

2. To my 1st ex-wife, I am sorry that our marriage lasted ten years. It should have ended after two years, but my lack of experience with relationships made me stick with it in the hopes you would realize I was a good man. We had nothing at all in common and your lack of affection was a deal breaker in the end.

3. To my 2nd ex wife. That relationship lasted two years too long. You were the worst a person can be and you deserve the worst in return. I went above and beyond for you because I didn’t want to fail at marriage a second time. My bad that you were broken and tried to damage me. I had to let you go and the anger for all you did to me with it. You destroyed someone else and became a felon to add to your resume.

4. To my oldest sibling, you are a narcissist and an asshole for the abuse you did to me. I forgave you for what you did. But the guilt you deal with has made me the pariah. The one you won’t acknowledge. I grew up looking up to you and you make me feel like I was the one who did the wrong thing. I get it, that your career would have you locked up. The must be a special place for you when it comes time to face the piper. Maybe one day you will realize that I don’t hate you, I just hate what you did to me.

5. To the woman I dated shortly. I don’t remember your name, sorry but you gave me a book that changed my view on how to see a relationship. I consider it to be a great gift. I actually passed it forward and shared it with someone else. Thank you for the enlightment.

6. This one goes to the group of guys I worked with for years. When I had my health crisis in 2014, I had no girlfriend or family nearby. You guys where awesome driving me to my appointments. Always offering me any help I needed. I hold you guys in the highest regards. You guys taught me compassion and why we should help those in need. Considered it as my lesson in always doing the right thing and paying it forward.

7. To the Mexican girl I dated briefly in 2023. You were a kind and sweet girl. I enjoyed our time together but I was not the guy for you. I am sorry I broke your heart and made you cry but guilting someone is not a good way to win them back. I have been more picky on who I want a relationship with and I am truly sorry you didn’t have the spark that I was looking for.
